About this deal

Midnight Oud is holding her own relatively bravely when it comes to sweetness. Although it increases, it does not completely gain the upper hand for a long time. On the other hand, it is precisely this dishwasher twist that continues to work, stubbornly springing from the rose, which has become increasingly caricatured as a result. The so-called Oud next to it unfortunately seems no less artificial. On balance, all this doesn't smell bad and those who don't want it to get too steep in terms of Rose-Oud will undoubtedly be served properly. Rose geranium or similar even provides a certain portion of stink. Each of his scents is unique in the way that Romano Ricci has given them a personality. Each of us has a little "something" of one of these fragrances within us all. Do you connect with being naive and innocent like Miss Charming, mysterious and seductive like Lady Vengeance, cavalier and dangerous like Citizen Queen, magical like Midnight Oud or feminine yet strong like Calamity J? I would have preferred a closer Rose-Oud connection from the start. How wonderfully tight Rose and Oud can be interwoven without much to do with each other was shown to me by Thirty Three from Ex Idolo, who plays in a completely different league when it comes to price per ml. In heart and base it resembles enormously Hippie Rose by Heeley, my favourite patchouli rose leather scent. Midnight Oud is only warmer, sweeter and minimally smoky. But it's the kind of patchouli and that spicy warmth that sets it apart from the rather lighter and fresher Heeley that is found in the beguiling base of Fashion Decree by Atkinsons. I attribute this beguiling spiciness to guaiac wood, which I often like very much. All in all, Midnight Oud Fashion Decree is less similar to Hippie Rose, also because the guaiac wood is less in the foreground than Rose, Leather and Patchouli.

What life has in store for you is unpredictable. Consequently, so should your fragrance be too. Give yourself a chance to enjoy this pleasure-inducing scent made exclusively for women like you who love to feel invigorated and uplifted. Midnight Oud is an artisanal fragrance from Juliette Has a Gun targeted towards consumers seeking an exclusive scent. It has been turning heads since 2009. This long-lasting parfum has considerable sillage since the concentration of essences is very high. Most eau de parfums have between 15-20%. Oud dominants, such as this one, invoke dampened woodand are often softened with fruity-floral accords. For Romantic Hearts With top notes of damask rose, saffron, papyrus, and bergamot accompanied by middle notes of agarwood (oud), Moroccan rose, castoreum, and geranium. Treading near the base with patchouli, musk, amber, and sandalwood fragrance, fans will find everlasting comfort in achieving that personal signature style women swoon over.Oud is the oil made from the resin of the Agarwood tree. It has been a staple of Middle Eastern perfumery for centuries. The best pure oud oils from the region are some of the most expensive and powerful perfume oils to be found. In 2002, Tom Ford in his creation of M7 for Yves St. Laurent brought the note of oud into Western consciousness in a big way. Seven years later, 2009 looks like oud’s coming out party as we have seen a number of different takes on oud throughout this year from Houses big and small. There are six scents with oud in their name which have been released this year. Not to mention the extensive Montale line of ouds, which grows larger every year. Midnight Oud's main players are supported by geranium, a “crisp rose” shape-shifter if ever there was, and a woody-amber accord that pipes up in the drydown. It's the drydown that's the letdown. The warm woody amber seems so...expected, so...so. Midnight Oud does not know what it wants to be. The initial blast is so overwhelmingly masculine, that I freaked out and rinsed my arm with water. That toned it down a bit, but what was that?! Is that oud??? I've never smelled it before. I don't get the urine bit like other reviewers, but the oud to me smells like something I know but can't really put my finger on...exhaust fumes?...scorched plastic?...burnt popcorn?...it's weird. I'm not a fan. Knowing that birch tar appears in the pyramid, I now smell that too rather than really oud. It's a bit sweetish and I know this is the rose, the typical Juliette rose The bold and beautiful scent of a mysterious world of adventures is filled with magnificent and sensual scents. Midnight Oud announces its presence in an elegant yet defiant manner from the first moment.

This fragrance with quite a lot of personality, not to mention enticing notes. The top features vanilla absolute, Amyris, and jasmine. As the perfume moves to its heart, the fragrance welcomes you with sandalwood, coconut milk, orris root, and jasmine. Leaving you to its base of iso e super and ambrette (musk mallow). The oud vanguard becomes softer after only a few minutes and I would now say I smell rather a little incense with typical Juliette Rose patchouli. To give the Fashion Decree away would be idiotic, because it is altogether different from the others and at the very end of the base it tops both of them. Our Shakespearean Juliette was pining away for her Romeo on a balcony covered by beautiful sweet scented roses with twisted vines and spikey thorns. But wait, there is no gun. Juliette has a Gun is a line of perfumes created by Romano Ricci. Yes, Romano Ricci is one of the Ricci’s, great grandson of Nina Ricci and grandson to Robert Ricci. Still loved and enjoyed by all, Nina Ricci’s famous romantic perfume created by her son Robert Ricci, and the master perfumer Francis Fabron, namely, L’Air Du Temps, came to life in 1948 and has been worn for decades by brides, debutantes and lovers of romance, time and time again. Totally ageless and refined, it is an eternal classic. Dare to wear something that smells this good. Mmmm… is a seductive and enticing fragrance for women, launched in 2016 by the design house of Juliette Has a Gun. This alluring scent features top notes of neroli and geranium, while the orange blossom, jasmine sambac, and tuberose heart will make you sigh with pleasure. If you’re looking for an intimidating yet intriguing experience, take on one more layer of temptation with your eyes closed – the provocative base made up of white musk, patchouli, heliotrope, caramel, and vanilla.

As for the collection, apart from this fragrance, we can expect just one more edition, since it was planned that Juliette Has A Gun series would encompass 5 perfumes. The new fragrance Midnight Oud was inspired by oriental notes, including accords of Moroccan rose, oud, amber, several sorts of musk, saffron, geranium and patchouli oil. Rose is definitely a common symbol of the whole niche line and this time it is combined with special, mystical Oud tact in a wonderful way. Juliette Has A Gun Vanilla Vibes is the wit and playfulness of a desert sunset in a blue-to-orange glass bottle. This tribute to Californian life feels expensive with its salty edge on the timeless note – which incidentally makes this Eau de Parfum perfect for those who find themselves attracted by luxury fragrances as much as they are vanilla scents. Romano Ricci, the grandson of Nina Ricci, created the niche House Juliette Has a Gun in 2006. The first two scents were Miss Charming and Lady Vengeance. These were rose centered fragrances; Miss Charming was a light and more feminine rose and Lady Vengeance was a darker, more unisex rose. Of the two I regularly wear Lady Vengeance when I’m in the mood for a darker rose fragrance. The most recent release is Midnight Oud which M. Ricci stated in the press materials that he wanted to be a “European version of Oud”. The glamorous perfume for the modern woman. A confident spicy fragrance with complex woody-amber notes designed not to appease whiny men or show off at parties, but to scent you know your power is limitless. If what he means by that phrase is he wanted to make a less aggressive oud which would be more wearable by people who are not enamored of strong notes, I think he succeeded. The top of Midnight Oud begins with a pairing of bergamot and saffron. This is as strong a saffron note as I’ve come across recently and it is an excellent choice to start off an oud based fragrance. The saffron imparts a slightly dried grass and leather aspect to the beginning which adds a little bit of exoticism to the beginning. The heart begins with the appearance of the oud. The oud is very restrained here, of all of the oud scents out there it is most closely akin to the level of oud in M7.

But I would like to keep the Midnight Oud as well, it has more power, more intense rose, is not as bitchy as the Heeley and it holds and holds and holds and pleases. The top is dominated by saffron. It is followed by middle notes of rose and geranium. As these fade away, they uncover the base of amber, patchouli, musk and wood notes. (Patchouli, Pogostemon cablin, is a flowering plant closely related to mint. However, its smell is very strong and earthy.) The predominantly oriental tone here is filled with mystique and faraway lands. High Price but Large Bottle Juliette Has A Gun Citizen Queen is a mysterious and addictive aldehyde chypre at the modern and classic perfumery crossroads.
