I had such a true connection with the characters and how they were plotted into this story. Is everything all right out here? I thought I heard someone shout." In 2015, Dakota Willink published her first full novel, with it being a romance titled ‘Heart of Stone.’ The book would also become the first in her series ‘Stone,’ with the second, ‘Stepping Stone,’ being released the following year in 2016. She would later go on to write other series too, such as ‘Cadence Duet,’ along with a stand-alone in 2020 titled ‘The Sound of Silence.’

This book. This story. I have been trying to put all the pieces together since book one. I mean how in the world was Rembrandt going to get his happy ending? And would it look the same as the very beginning? It's extremely hard to talk about this installment of the book, well any of them honestly, without giving spoilers. So, I'll just say this - this ending was better than I could have imagined. I mean, there were moments I was barely breathing, but for good reason. The way the characters were all brought together, how the bad guys were found, the story behind why everything had happened, and even a surprise twist that I just kind of sat there for awhile smiling about. With people all around her, she could never predict what might happen, and the constant tension of holding on to her self-control made her head pound and her nerves fray. Being an antisocial hermit just made life easier.If I'm being honest, the faith aspect here was a little deus ex machina. While there have been small threads woven throughout, the culmination seemed forced. And I'm not sure that all the content that was included in the earlier novels was worth wading through to make it to this point. Words can not express how truly excited I was when I learned the Heart of Stone series was continuing on with the triplets. And the first book to continue on with is the beloved only son? SIGN. ME. UP. Ethan looks like his handsome dad, but his work ethic? Well as long as it involved beautiful models, he's good to go. He's a playboy, with no intention of settling down. Until he meets Summer. Lines blur, feelings erupt and what we are left with is an epic love story fit for a Stone. What an ending! Such a whirlwind of a book and series. It's been so fun being a part of the Rembrandt Stone world this whole year. I have enjoyed each and every book and it's a bit bittersweet for the series to end. You definitely need to read the other five books first since it's a continuing story. This series would make a great TV series.

I really loved the Stone family. I will definitely be reading the next stories in this series again. That said I did not love the author's writing style (as I mentioned its a new author for me.) At times I was confused as I felt the book sort of told me things that happened and it jumped into the future. I like to experience it rather being told after the fact. That said it was well written, I just did not like the way it jumped ahead in the story.

It was great to see Nina and Tristan again. They are still very much in love and they haven’t changed at all. I also liked that I already got to know Ethan’s sisters a little bit. I liked one sister a little more than the other, to be honest, but I can’t wait for both books to be released! The two have a one night stand, but Ethan thinks Summer is a good girl and so he thinks it will quit his family that he is finally settling down so he convinces Summer to be his fake fiancee. But one of the big issues for these two is that their romance is grounds for them to be fired at work so the charade is a big risk.
