About this deal

References make up the majority of this model, making this advent calendar better suited to fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and specifically the Guardians of the Galaxy. Considering the huge audience that Marvel Studios has kept over the years and the widespread appeal of this team, that’s unlikely to be an issue and these deep-cut Easter eggs are something that Marvel enthusiasts will love to see with each passing day. And what LEGO Advent set would be complete without some microscale vehicles? There are five small ships in total, including microscale versions of Star Lord’s original ship, the Milano, the team’s upgraded M-Class Benatar, and Yondu’s Laser Drill pod from the second movie.

They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays. Here’s a look at the completed ship! It’s pretty good, and has space for one minifigure to pilot it, but overall, it feels like they could’ve squeezed it into 2 days instead of 3, wasting precious spots close toward the end of the Advent Calendar. I love what they’ve done with the wings, which can be fanned out at different angles, and just how sleek this ship looks. It’s pretty much perfect, and I’m so glad that we finally get a build worth getting this excited for. Plus, we love the detailed mini-build toy vehicles, of which there are 10-, and five Star Wars Saga mini-builds including the Clone Command Centre, Ewok Village, Endor Bunker, Endor Shield Protector and Emperor’s Throne. And here’s a look at Star-Lord’s alternate expression, which really, is just the default Christ Pratt face at this stage. We FINALLY get a decent build out of the GOTG Advent Calendar with Day 18’s sensational Milano Spaceship.

From left to right, we have Yondu’s Arrow, an Annulax Battery (from GOTG Volume 2), a Quarnyx Battery (from the Prison Scene in GOTG 1), an eyeball that he gets Baby Groot to collect, and the prisoner’s prosthetic leg from the same Prison Break scene in GOTG 1. LEGO releases a variety of advent calendars each year, catering to different themes and interests. Some of the most common LEGO advent calendar themes (which you’ll find on our list) include: Finally, the rest of the builds are a mix of microscale ships and crafts from the Guardians films. They include the Milano and the Benatar. The others are a little harder to pinpoint, one is a drone, another is a Knowhere Mining Pod and one of the others seems to be a Sovereign craft. The holiday season is fast approaching, and that means new LEGO Advent Calendars! New for 2022, we now have our very first detailed look at two new sets – 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar and 75340 Star Wars Advent Calendar, which should be released on 1 September 2022, as is tradition. For a Marvel Studios enthusiast, 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar is a must-have for the 2022 holiday season and most days will have you remembering a scene from the Marvel Studios movies. However, that focus on Easter eggs and references limits its appeal somewhat, as those not as interested in the MCU might struggle to connect with the builds, preferring more festive inclusions for the holiday season.

What LEGO advent calendars are there?

Here’s the front of the Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar, which folds out to form a playmat of sorts to display all the mini builds. We’ll pass no judgment regarding the current status of your Christmas shopping, but if you’re thinking of grabbing an advent calendar either for yourself or a loved one, now is time to do it. The traditional chocolate calendars are all well and good, but there’s an advent calendar for everyone, and we’ve already rounded up the best alcohol, coffee, tea, LEGO, beauty and Funko-based offerings.
