About this deal

Slightly redesigned covers using lettering by Jason Carne, matching the design of the Murtagh cover. ( Same with the spines.) No details have been announced, but Christopher has confirmed that he’ll be touring in-person to promote the new book. And the world....few authors have captured by heart and dreams the way Paolini has with Alagaesia. The lore and history and magic and landscapes and just all of it is stunning and has had my mind in a chokehold for over a decade. I find something new every time I read Eragon which is a testament to the quality of the writing, in my opinion.

"Booklist," Starred

Paolini is a master of his craft, creating such a beautiful world and intricate characters. I know a lot of people find Eragon annoying and immature....he's 15 and 16 in this book, it's expected for him to be so! It makes him realistic in circumstances that are so fantastical, which I really appreciate in a good character. But we also see him grow a lot in his maturity, not just in the series but just in this first book. I love how Paolini develops his characters, including Eragon. Will appeal to legions of readers who have been captivated by the Lord of the Rings trilogy."-- School Library Journal I find the world created is so real that I use it as an escape. Somewhere I immerse myself in when I need to go and be somewhere else. There are twists and turns, and sometimes you feel you might be one step ahead of the characters, but not often. The epic struggle between good and evil is played out, but there are shades of grey in some of the characters that make them somewhere in the middle, which is refreshing. Christopher has announced that he’ll be an ambassador for Books-a-Million’s summer reading program, which will include an in-store event in Texas. Additional details have yet to be revealed. Prepare for the flight of a lifetime with Eragon as you’ve never seen him before in this dazzling edition with brand-new full-color illustrations throughout. This is the perfect must-have gift for both new and longtime Inheritance fans.
