What polishing and waxing have to do with it, I don't know ... although the average Sunday washer will see this as simply a method of bypassing what would appear to be laborious tasks - polishing and waxing. Shining substances enhances the colour depth on all types of car paints. I love having a clean car and I can even cope with having to wash it by hand to avoid scratches, but I hate having to spend ages polishing after every wash just to get rid of the watermarks that rinsing leaves.
