We use our 100 years of experience to create a blend of ingredients adapted to your baby’s specific stage that we then mix with the milk. Although this may vary by store and region. We have good availability of our Nutriprem 2 200ml liquid product (same formula) which is also an option. At Cow & Gate, we respect the cultural and religious practices of all our parents and their children. That’s why we’ll only describe our products as halal if they have been given a halal certificate from an Islamic halal authorisation body. There’s more about this process below. It is specially designed to help bridge the gap between a hospital preterm formula and a standard infant milk and can be used under medical supervision until 6 months corrected age. We’ve put a lot of care and attention into selecting the certification bodies that certify our baby products as halal. We’ve looked at and considered their reputation within the UK Muslim community, as well as their international reach. Hydrolised nutriprem (From birth, 90ml ready-to-use bottle, hospital use only) (Not Halal Approved) Cow and Gate declare none of their products are Suitable for Vegetarians due to Fish Oils and Animal Rennet being used during processing. However Aptamil have suitable for Vegetarian options for like for like products. Saying this, just because the products are not suitable for vegetarians, does not mean they are not Halal. Cow and Gate do not have a formal list of Halal products therefore we have got confirmation of each product they sell.
