About this deal

Man "Genezė" - labiausiai patikusi, didžiausią įspūdį palikusi ir stipriausiai prikausčiusi serijos knyga 🖤 Nėra vertinimo skalėje tiek ⭐, kad atspindėtų knygos sukeltas mintis ir jausmus. This was an absolutely dark, gritty, gory and twisted (when it comes to the MO of the killer, the motivation isn't really twisted - like I said sometimes the killer is relatable) book. Definitely not for the faint-hearted.

As expected this novel was full to the brim with sadism, blood and gore. The killer was obsessively cruel and I had my nose wrinkled in disgust throughout quite a lot of the novel. But gore alone does not a good crime novel make. A case that will test him to the limit – you would be emotionally, mentally, and physically drained and that’s just the reader. Even a seasoned detective like Robert Hunter would need psychiatric help after solving a case of this magnitude and level of brutality. Wilson was standing inside Captain William Bolter’s office, staring at the piece of paper the captain had just handed him. I liked how the investigation was carried out - investigation is after all a painstaking process of analyzing facts, interviewing or interrogating people, lying in wait -- mostly using your brains and testing your patience. The author did try in this respect. The obligatory and somewhat preedictable attempt at misdirection was also there.

Robert Hunter is not a happy man, he lives to work and work to live, he had a difficult life and is not eager to share his feelings or emotions to anyone, but he is good in his work, probably the best. But is a character you understand and want to protect, he is taking the fight personally (and it is, let’s face it) but he is human and he can not protect everyone, so he will have to accept that in a war not everyone survives.

Publication Order of Robert Hunter Books
