About this deal

Every passenger can bring one small cabin bag. The size of this bag has to be 45x36x20cm (including any handles and wheels). One of the good reasons for this is the fact that Cabin Max develops hand luggage that is perfectly adapted to the needs of passengers. Perfect for flights with EasyJet, Vueling, Ryanair and many others (goes through as a small piece of hand luggage!) But the Cabin Max Manhattan Stowaway shows itself extremely unimpressed by this and masters these new rules with ease. Well, with relative ease because its dimensions are literally set at 40 x 20 x 25 cm.

For example, there is the Cabin Max XL with dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20 cm, which is perfect as a large piece of hand luggage. This is annoying because it’s way more expensive to pay for your bags at the airport (rather than paying in advance online). But it’s also annoying because your bag might go in the hold of the plane so you’ll now need to queue up to collect it at the baggage carousels when you arrive. You also won’t have access to all of your stuff during the flight. The majority of airlines in the UK actually don’t have a weight limit on their small, personal, underseat luggage. Airlines will monitor the size of the bag and make sure it’s within the 45x36x20cm size restriction, but they won’t actually weigh it.

Tips for packing light

Flies free on Ryanair. The perfect size (40x25x20cm) for Ryanair’s new ‘free’ underseat cabin luggage rules. Hand luggage compatible with ALL other major airlines. Even if you have to push, squeeze or sit on your case, make sure your handbag or extra bag fits! a few times I have seen people charged extra for their handbag if it doesn’t fit in their Cabin Bag. This has caught a few people out, if your Cabin Bag doesn’t fit within the maximum size (45 x 36 x 20cm) you may be charged at the gate. Sharp objects are banned apart from a few exemptions. You can bring tweezers, scissors with rounded edges and razors with a plastic cover on them. More passengers can opt to bring a large cabin bag when they fly without booking an extra legroom seat or booking upfront.

We make it our mission to know the latest hand luggage requirements and design quality bags and cases to fit to the max. Guaranteed! Everyone is allowed 1 small cabin bag, if you want to bring a larger bag, you need to have the correct seat selection or have paid before your trip. But to make sure your case is within the airline cabin bag allowance, here are the dimensions of the most popular Airlines used to explore Europe. Before booking your next EasyJet flight I am sure you have a few more questions- especially about hand luggage! Since Ryanair has been operating a stricter hand luggage policy for some time now, it has become more difficult to even find appropriate hand luggage that can meet the new specifications. Technically, you could use vacuum bags to remove all the air from your clothing so you can fit even more in your 45x36x20 cabin bag. Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need to use a vacuum cleaner to remove the air from a vacuum bag, you can simply squeeze the air out and seal the bag meaning you can use it for your return journey when you don’t have access to a vacuum cleaner.

Here’s a question lots of people ask. Does it really matter if your easyJet hand luggage is too big?

1. The Travel Hack Hybrid – Trolley + Backpack

If there is a weight restriction on your bag or you’re worried about the weight of your cabin bag then I’d recommend getting a pair of travel scales to weigh the bag. You could weigh it on your bathroom scales at home but it’s unlikely you’ll have access to bathroom scales for your return journey. I hope you found this article useful! To help you make the most of your trip to Europe, here are some more relevant posts: But if you are still unsure of which is the best option, I will always recommend the Cabin Max Manhattan every single time! Food and Drink: Food and drink are allowed to be brought onto the Aircraft. If you are planning on bringing Alcohol on your flight it must be bought in the airport departure lounge, unopened and less than 70% abv. But overall, they are pretty strict. If you have a cabin bag and you are carrying an extra bag like a handbag, they will often make you put it inside your cabin bag to make sure it fits.
