Baileys Deliciously Light contains 40% less sugar and 40% fewer calories than the iconic Original but, according to the makers, has all the classic ingredients - including cream, Irish whisky, cocoa and vanilla - and the same delicious flavour. The new serve is the official beer of RSDUK 2023, which sees hundreds of independent record shops across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture. The other main difference is in terms of consistency. They're both smooth and delicious but the Light version is a little thinner than the Original. Not enough to be off-putting and it's not like it tastes watery or anything, but there is a definite difference there, although it actually made the Light feel slightly more drinkable in warmer weather. A 2.5oz (71ml) serving of the new liqueur contains 139 calories and 7.8g of sugar. In comparison, a 2.5oz pour of Baileys Original Irish Cream contains 233 calories and 13.3g of sugar.
