Cooper is the amazing alpha male main character but with so so much more to him. He is protective, he's a family man, he's a dedicated military man but also he loves with his whole heart ...once he gives into the pull there's no stopping this man. I think this story should definitely be experienced by reading it, so I’m only going to say a few things about their actual love story. Its a military/step-brother/brother’s best friend romance. It’s emotional. It’s heartbreaking. It’s a little bit forbidden. It’s a little bit hidden. It’s all of those things, but it’s also beautiful and fun. You can truly tell through Bella’s writing that these two are soulmates and belong together, even if at times they get in their own way to that.

Brady takes one look at his best friend/teammate's sister, Natalie, and he knows without a doubt he wants her. He also knows he can't have her. Why? Well, she's off limits, as Cooper has stated. She's football royalty in their town. And she's only 17. But can Brady keep his hands off her? That's a question he continually asks himself, along with why he can't stop thinking about her. He's supposed to be focusing on football, not on his best friend's sprite of a sister. Once she gets her diagnosis, it causes her to push away the man she loves, in fear of not being enough for him. I knew Murphy was special but I did not know HOW special and how easily he was going to steal my heart. We learn why he is the way he is and we also learn there is more to the surface than meets the eye when it comes to him. The same with Sabrina, we know she is just another part of the girls but here we get to really know her and her characteristics. She is a total bad ass. She will totally make you get a girl crush! This is a Rom com that apparently, according to the men in my life, hubs and sons and not my literary ever expanding cougar reverse harem, you read with a non stop sappy stupid grin on your face 🤷‍♀️😇

I love Carys, but I really wanted to shake her at times. I GET her reasoning and my heart broke for her and how isolated she felt from everyone, but I hated how she was breaking both herself and Coop. Like I said I get it, but her realizing what a fool she's been and for THAT to happen? I shed all the tears.Murphy and Brina together? This is the kind of love that lasts for ages! The kind everyone strives for and most rarely get it! More than a Game is the 2nd book by new author Bella Matthews and with how well written this book was you could never tell. I really liked Murphy and Sabrina together. He is totally swoon worthy and I liked how feisty and sassy Sabrina was. College romance is not a genre I read a lot of, but I found More Than A Game to be well written and entertaining. The story starts with Brady meeting Natalie. They both have this Crazy pull but knowing She's Off-limits, as her twin Brother Cooper is Brady's Football Teammate & Her dad's his Coach, Brady tries to fight it. But it's HARD. Always Earned, Never Given is a Heart-Breakingly beautiful, Steamy friends-to-lovers Sports romance with Laughs, Fun, Swoons, Heartwarm, Love so deep, cute surprises, Suspense & some action! *Ooh!*
