Bathrooms are deivided into designated zones, 0, 1, 2 and regulations cover what type of light, heater other appliances can or cannot be installed in the different zones. If you're using a UK appliance abroad you can use a UK to EU plug adapter as most have the round pin spacing on them. I've never seen an EU to UK bathroom adapter. Under most circumstances if you include water and electricity the effects of injury are much greater as water reduces the resistance the human body has to the electrical current. Strictly speaking, from an Oral-B perspective, there is no option for this at this time. So you cannot charge your current electric toothbrush from a USB port within your van.
I have a multi-travel adaptor bought at an airport that accepts my UK bathroom plug without problem. But I also have 2 different ones that will not accept it, but they will accept the Euro-plug.(these are the large adaptors that can be used for multiple countries by extending different pin configurations out of the body Please note: This information relates to the UK and Europe primarily, America and many other countries differ.

To be honest, I would have done the same thing. Aside from the 2 pin AUS power connector, the UK voltage is very similar and will have likely been supported by your charging stand. It is very detailed and legally correct description of why we have 2 pin plugs on electric toothbrushes. The 1 amp fuse is a lot shorter than my standard 3 amp and 5 amp fuses otherwise I would simply change the fuse and see if that worked. UK Consumer Protection legislation requires that most domestic electrical goods sold must be provided with fitted plugs to BS1363-1. [6] The exception is that shavers, electric toothbrushes and similar personal hygiene products may be supplied with a Europlug as an alternative to the BS4573 plug (see below).
