About this deal

Not only is this talent a godsend in these bit-reduced times, but it also breathes new life (actually interpolates detail) into any non-UHD disc collection. Interestingly, Samsung has shrunk the Tizen tiles to allow more streaming apps to sit on a screen at any given time. So less need to scroll.

Plan Benefits

Update 11/02/2021: We retested the HDR peak brightness in the regular picture settings, outside of Game Mode, after firmware update 2016.1. It improves the real scene brightness by about 20 nits, which isn't a significant difference. The highlights are a bit dimmer, but they're within the margin of error and not enough for us to change the results for the peak and sustained windows. Samsung’s designers have gone some way to mitigating this extra depth by framing the panel with a ridiculously minimal bezel, creating the illusion that pictures are magically hanging in the air.

MicroLEDs can actually go much brighter than OLEDs, though, theoretically resulting in even more spectacular contrast. Samsung is quoting a peak brightness rating of 2000 nits in regard to this new MicroLED TV, which makes it around twice as bright as even the best OLEDs. What's more, unlike OLED TVs, which use organic materials ('OLED' stands for 'Organic Light Emitting Diode'), MicroLEDs are inorganic, so don't degrade and can't suffer from image retention or burn-in. Connectivity is excellent, too, with four HDMIs that offer advanced and varying specifications. There’s 4K at 120fps support on HDMI 4, and eARC on input 3.

With a nod to high-end gaming, there’s the promise of 4K@120fps support on one input (HDMI 4). The set can also manage 4K@60Hz (the ballpark expected for the PS5 and Xbox Series X), 2K@120Hz, VRR and ALLM. FreeSync support is included for PC gamers. It appears to have fewer dimming zones than the US and Australian QN90A, but we think that's the same number of zones as the UK QN90A. Compared to all versions of the model above it's got a more basic version of OTS sound with two fewer drivers. However, there’s no support for Dolby Vision – a long-standing bugbear with Samsung’s TVs – instead it throws its weight behind HDR10+, which is considerably less well-supported by actual movies and TV shows. Na první pohled je to běžná moderní televize. Miniaturní černý rámeček, který splývá s displejem. Černý a jednoduchý stojan.
