About this deal

This is just it, a beautiful feminine perfume that you can wear every day of the year, its super fresh, yet has body and warmth to it, given by the tonka, benzoin and an ever so soft Barely there patchuli..

Revisiting my samples, both are fantastic & worth owning alongside BDJ. I love all 3 & to me, they each fit a mood, although they're entirely interchangeable to suit yours. All 3 are going to be general crowd-pleasers. This is another barbershop with lavender and a bit of citrus in the top. The base has wood but I find it dominated by coumarin. In fact, I find the entire composition dominated by heavy coumarin, and that gives it (to my nose) a cheap, designer, mall-scent profile that I can't get past. I view this as Beau du Jour 1.0 - an experiment to make a classic barbershop masculine updated for today's nose. Take the classic profile, jam of a bunch of sweet synth molecule in it, wrap it together, and sell it today's man who came up on Eros and Invictus and the like but is older, has a nicer car, and makes more money. Where BdJ succeeded, TF d'Argent failed, at least somewhat. This isn't a bad scent - it's pleasant enough if you can tolerate that synthetic sweet/vanilla note - but it feels a bit like the first attempt at modernization and they didn't get it right, at least not to me.

This is very beautiful. If you’re looking for a better made libre, without the astringent smell most designers have or the abhorrent lavender note, this is the perfume for you. This is remarkably well made, something that even untrained noses upon smelling this said that it “smells expensive”. I personally enjoy libre on others very much, there’s quite a bit more vanilla and you can't quite smell the astringent thing unless you’re wearing it yourself, and it has a beautiful scent bubble. This is better, stronger and more refined. All in all, this dna isn’t for me because it’s associated too closely to people I know and wear things like this exclusively (the same person that said this smells “expensive and like it costs billion upon billions of dollar to have it, and you still have much more to wear it”)

Platine is more herbaceous & bracing, or "cooling". It's probably the hardest to quit sniffing of the 3. The blend is just fantastic & so soothing. A bit more "serious" than d'Argent, Platine strikes me as mature, confident & sexy... Perfect for the office, a date, or dinner The name is beautiful, isn’t it? It is inspired by a poem written by Rumi. And they tried to say perfume is also a way to communicate. D'Argent is the safest but it's a bit deceptive. It really evolves a lot & while it doesn't strike the wearer as potent, it is. It projects more than you realize & even 8 hours in with a couple sprays on each arm, I'm getting wafts of wood, citrus & lavender, even though it seems like it's down to a skin scent when sniffed directly. Definitely agree with the comment about this being along the lines of a ADP fragrance, in a very good way. Firstly, I do not like or own YSL Libre, which is why I held off buying this fragrance. Sometimes, what one person smells is not what another person does. Having said this, I did blind buy this based on the notes of mandarin, Jasmine, cedar, cashmere wood, vanilla and bergamot, and I’m glad I did. WOW RATING: 7/10. This is a good woody and spicy fragrance with a sweet touch, pleasant, good but not impressive. This is by no means a safe blind buy! You need to be on board with quite a bit of saffron in combination with something I would have interpreted as cardamom and lavender mixed in a way that in no way reminds of the sophisticated blend of these types of notes in for instance BR540 by MFK or Gris Charnel by BDK. In reality there is neither cardamom nor lavender in Tempfluo, but for some reason the combination of I guess praline, orange blossom and cashmere wood and vanilla mixed with the saffron translates that way to my nose. An East-meets-West oriental, it makes a grand statement from the start with contrasts of powdery honey and violet, the leathery spice of saffron and gourmand-ish fig.

Each NISHANE fragrance is designed as a tribute to different emotions and moods to ensure you remember the moments you loved. NISHANE sees perfume creation as an important art form and has created a brand where storytelling goes hand in hand with scent. That leaves Beau De Jour (in my case, the Private Blend version) as the screamer. It's definitely the most unapologetic one of the trio. I absolutely love it & get tons of compliments on it... But if you appreciate BDJ, you'd probably love Platine & d'Argent, too... Admittedly, you may need a couple wears to realize it, but at least you'll smell great doing it.Very high up in my "barbershop" Fougere collection. Very similar to, and right behind in my collection, Penhaligon Sartorial. Fougere D'Argent is closer to Sartorial in scent profile than to its Tom Ford cousin Beau de Jour. Beau de Jour is #1 in my collection, but they are different enough to not be redundant in a collection. D'Argent is closer to a traditional Fougere to me than Beau de Jour, probably with more sweetness than a classical Fougere. Guess they swapped out the traditional Fougere For me Tempfluo is blossoming during late spring and all throughout summer. It is a both fresh and spicy scent so it can also work from day to night, as it is refreshing enough not to be cloying in the heat but spicy and dark enough to handle a hot night as well. It is incredibly unisex. From that point of view this has the potential of a small masterpiece as it will also bring forward different things depending on who it sits on and when… Omg i love this!! Huuugeee love for me. I think every house should have something wearable, versatile and universally pleasing. Like do you always need a weird crazy smell? B-612 reminded me of what niche perfumery generally is to "designer-heads" such as myself; natural, realistic, and creative. This is not sexy. It is not beast mode. It is a simple, high quality fragrance that you catch slight wisps of for 8+ hours that remind you that you are clean and interesting.
