About this deal

Even if that was out of the question, swapping out Venom for just one brand new villain would also have sweetened the deal. Or even Green Goblin, who we’ve had several times before, even if this is a new version. As it is, there are only really two minifigures here worth your time – at least if you own any other Spider-Man sets. If this is your one and only, well, let’s face it: there are way better options for your first dive into the Spider-verse. — Price — Green Goblin has been updated though and appears better than ever, in my opinion. Purple dominates the design and his clothing is completely tattered, conveying the unhinged psyche which characterises this villain! The detailed dark bluish grey padding on his chest and knees looks wonderful too, along with Green Goblin's double-sided head and accurate headgear.

As far as the physical lair goes, the Armoury and Supercomputer are parts of this set I see many AFOLs potentially blowing up to a greater size and expanding upon, whereas other sections, like the prison, leaves much to be desired and most likely will be discarded to the collection. For creative, arty builders there are LEGO Dots sets - full of excitement, joy, and innovation. Create unique bracelets with vibrant colours, and geometric shapes. And store LEGO pieces, arts and crafts, and other items in the DIY storage boxes and trays. These are great for children ages 5 and over. LEGO toys perfect for little builders Young superheroes join Spider-Man playing games in his HQ. When 2 super villains force their way in, it's time for battle. Kids must use the amazing equipment and their own skills to save the day. Apparently there are a few other Batman rogues with fairly regular appearances. I see ten minifig-based sets for Riddler, nine for Mr. Freeze, and eight for Catwoman. Even Poison Ivy ties Venom with seven.Even superheroes need to chill-out in their room sometimes. But only Spider-Man could have a room like this! With a computer, PlayStation, basketball hoop with ball shooter, skateboard with ramp, and a drinks area, it's the ultimate teenage den. But it's much more than that. It’s also the ultimate superhero headquarters, with Peter Parker´s camera, training equipment, motorbike, Iron Spider Suit, weapons and even its own jail – all of which come in very handy when the evil super villains Green Goblin and Venom force their way inside. Yeah...I should have said not only am I a superfan...I’m an aging superfan. I’d even be into a Madame Web! LEGO components are dropped, heated, crushed, twisted and analyzed to make sure they fulfill rigorous global safety standards.

All LEGO® Marvel Spider-Man playsets are cool and collectible and give kids the chance to relive favorite superhero movie moments and create imaginative stories of their own. Surrounding the lair are Spider-Man’s work tools, as well as a rather admittedly flimsy attempt at a stand for the Iron Spider’s spider arms. I’m not sure what the thought process was here for these stands, maybe so they can be laid down when not in use? It certainly feels cheap though. Spider-Man possesses various vehicles throughout the Marvel Super Heroes range and his concealed lair contains a maintenance area for one such vehicle. The colour combination of dark blue and red continues here to good effect and I like the trans-yellow lights beneath the motorcycle. Additionally, this vehicle can rotate on its elevated plinth and seems accordingly attractive. LEGO® components satisfy stringent industry standards to ensure they are consistent, compatible and connect and pull apart correctly every time – it's been that way since 1958.This computer, to me, is honestly the coolest part of this set. It is fitted with so many fun tidbits and references to so many different things. From top left to bottom right, we have SpiderDrone analysis (for the drones included in the set), Iron Spider’s Arm data, JJJ committing corporate bullying, SpiderSuit databases, SpiderSuit analysis and a Spider-Man Video game. I wouldn't expect to see Kingpin in a Spiderman set _unless_ it also included Daredevil, as that's really the only way I can see them producing a Daredevil minifig."

I think this critique could be handed out for almost any Superhero set, considering the city is their environment, and barring the few sets that are inexpensive, Its hard to make a playground like that, especially for Spidey in NY. ]] LEGO components satisfy stringent industry standards to ensure they are consistent, compatible and connect and pull apart correctly every time – it's been that way since 1958.

Minifigures

The colour scheme of green and purple is attractive and I like the contrasting horns which are situated towards the front. The thrusters mounted on the underside look reasonable too. This vehicle omits dedicated control surfaces, although that reflects the source material as Green Goblin generally directs his glider by shifting his weight. Fortunately, there is sufficient space where he can stand. Despite sharing similarities in subject and organisation, Spider-Man's lair appears significantly brighter than Batman's famous Batcave. The red and dark blue colour scheme looks excellent and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of this model, measuring 41cm wide. Moreover, the integration of various sections seems relatively successful, particularly as the same trans-light blue accents appear repeatedly. Spider-Man’s spectacular headquarters measure over 5 in. (14 cm) high, 16 in. (41 cm) long and 6 in. (17 cm) wide and combine easily with other LEGO® Marvel Spider-Man sets. OK, we get it, Venom is a Spider-Man villain...there are a PLETHORA of others though, LEGO, yeah...I’m talking to you, don’t you think we’ve had enough Venom figures by now? Maybe throw us Marvel Superfans something else?

An ideal birthday, holiday or just-because gift for Marvel movie fans aged 8 and up who want to stand out from the crowd with the premier LEGO® set Spider-Man’s HQ. The accompanying video game screen displays Spider-Man swinging through New York City. Certain aspects of the design resemble the recent PlayStation 4 game, although not perfectly. Five varying Spider-Man suits appear beside the video game, including one which is enlarged and reminds me of the original Spider-Man minifigure from 2002. However, the most intriguing example is the Bombastic Bagman costume! The other figures are alright, obviously one new one but similarly to above, the printing isn't particularly good. However, I think this computer could have been further separated from Batcomputer designs, simply by adjusting the screen arrangement. This configuration seems extremely familiar and Spider-Man deserved something tailored more specifically to him. The seat seems very basic too, although some appealing details are present. Peter Parker's camera and the video game controller are particularly fun. Spider-Man’s lair shares plenty of DNA with 2019’s 76122 Batcave Clayface Invasion, from its central multi-screened computer terminal to its side sections, prison cell and vehicles. But everything’s much smaller here, and far more junior by comparison: it’s built across a single level, the bulk of the size is created by a handful of huge parts, and the whole thing just comes across as half-hearted. All LEGO Marvel Spider-Man playsets are cool and collectible and give kids the chance to relive favorite superhero movie moments and create imaginative stories of their own.
