About this deal

Everybody needs a good tumbler, whether you're using it at the office, while you're camping, or just sitting at home with a good book. Beast and Yeti tumblers are both very durable and reliable choices that will likely last you for a good number of years. So the question remains: which one is better? Yeti has basically become synonymous with high-end coolers and tumblers. The Rambler Tumbler is Yeti’s version of a beer mug, but it’s a fantastic option for holding any kind of beverage. That's thanks to Yeti's double-wall vacuum insulation, which does a good job of keeping cold drinks cool and hot drinks warm for long periods of time. Another perk of the Yeti Rambler is it's dishwasher safe, increasing the ease of cleaning. For one thing, the Beast is sometimes cheaper than the Yeti. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, you might find that a Beast tumbler won't last as long because the quality is just not the same.

How easy it was to clean each tumbler: We washed each tumbler according to the manufacturer's instruction and noted how difficult or easy it was—as well as whether any special tools like bottle brushes were required. After testing, the tumblers with stronger beverages like coffee, we noted if there were any lingering aromas. Vacuum-insulated cups, which are typically made of metal or glass, have both an inner and outer wall that is separated by a thin layer of vacuum. The outer walls have a reflective coating to keep heat inside the inner chambers; meanwhile, convention (how heat rises and cold sinks — causing the loss of heat) is prevented by the cup’s lid. If you're tired of bringing a fresh iced coffee to work only to find it watered down too soon thanks to the summer's heat, then an insulated tumbler might be exactly what you need. Because of their construction, which consists of double walls and a vacuum seal, these tumblers are perfect for when you’re on the go and want to keep your beverage hot or ice cold for hours. For ease of use, the tumbler has a tapered end, meaning it fits into pretty much any regular cupholder. That also means that you can take it anywhere you go and always have somewhere to put it. Plus, as mentioned above, the cup doesn't sweat, so you won't get your hands or anything else wet in the process. It will not leave water stains on surfaces, and better yet, it won't water stain itself either. Any watermarks that accumulate can usually be scrubbed away with no problem. These mugs are safe for the microwave if you need to heat or reheat a beverage, as well as the freezer, so you can, for example, freeze portions of fruit in each glass. Unlike some insulated glasses, they can be washed in the dishwasher, so cleaning is easy when the party is over. The Beast and Yeti tumblers are both sturdy tumblers with similar price ranges, builds, and sizes. Some of the basic differences lie in the lids. The Yeti lid has a slab that slides shut and can come off, making it easy to wash. The Beast lid has a snap-shut lid that is slightly harder to remove. The thermos circumference is a little wide—those with smaller hands may have trouble comfortably holding this cup for long periods. But if you can overlook that, there's a big perk: This design-forward tumbler features a ceramic interior that keeps odors and other flavors from long-ago pours at bay. The lid also features a thinned drinking lip, making it easier to sip without spilling.

Design: Besides external features like different color options, we highlighted important design features—like lids that can be sealed completely without risk of spills—and noted whether we could open the lid using one hand or while wearing gloves.

Beast tumblers come from the company known as Greens Steel. Greens Steel is a bit newer than Yeti Coolers, having been officially started in 2015. Greens Steel was created out of awareness for the damage that single-use plastic has done to the earth. This goal is reflected in their name, Greens Steel, and the company focuses on making tumblers and other drinkware that is completely eco-friendly. Cleaning these tumblers and lids was easy, even by hand. Compared to popular travel mugs like the Contigo – West Loop with its springs and levers on the inside of the lid, a tumbler lid is dead simple to clean. RTIC's Double Wall Vacuum Insulated Tumbler does exactly what an insulated tumbler should do. It keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot. And at a lower price point than its competitors, our testers didn't see a drop-off in performance. Our testers found the RTIC tumbler held the same temperature an hour after the liquid was placed in the container for cold beverages. And for hot drinks, the temperature did cool, but it stayed hot enough. This excellent temperature regulation is thanks to the double-wall vacuum insulation and the stainless steel construction. Additionally, while the lid is easy to clean and stays on the cup pretty well, it is not spillproof. An owner of both a Yeti and Beast tumbler tried tipping the cups upside down while full of water with the lids shut. The Beast did not leak at all, while the Yeti did let a few drizzles of water go. This doesn't take away from its credibility, but it is just a little bit of a downer.

With an enormous capacity of 40 ounces, the Stanley Quencher FlowState takes care of hydration goals with just one refill. Although standing up and walking to the water cooler is a great way to get some movement in the body, let’s be real, we don’t always do it as often as we should. This takes care of always having water available near you, especially while running multiple errands or during road trips. The contents stay hot or cold for hours on end, and it holds ice cubes for at least a day due to the vacuum-insulated design. The YETI – Rambler is the product that got everyone buzzing about giant insulated cups, and they’re still the most recognizable. The lid is advertised as, “Sliding Spill-Resistant, Shatterproof Crystal Clear Straw Friendly BPA Free”… what a mouthful!RTIC compromises on quality very slightly, with some plastic parts, but the vacuum insulation is all that it needs to be.
