Tartaglione, Nancy (February 16, 2021). "Hong Kong Cinemas to Reopen as Virus Fourth Wave Abates". Variety. Archived from the original on February 17, 2021 . Retrieved February 18, 2021. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Village, a second film adaptation, compiling parts of the "Entertainment District" and "Swordsmith Village" arcs, was released in Japan on February 3, 2023.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki, Head of the Demon Slayer Corps, visits a graveyard where the deceased Demon Slayer warriors are buried with the help of his wife Amane. Lamenting about those who gave their lives in the continuous war against demon king Muzan Kibutsuji and his army, he declares that the human spirit will always rise to the challenge. Crunchyroll reviewer Daryl Harding gave the film a positive review, praising the combination of 2D and 3D animation techniques, the music, and the character writing. [67] IndieWire reviewer David Ehrlich, who gave the film a "C" on an A to F scale, likewise praised the film for its striking visuals, and for the characters of Kyōjurō Rengoku and Enmu, but said its R rating was excessive. [68] By contrast, Anime News Network reviewer Kim Morrissy and Variety reviewer Peter Debruge compared the animation quality unfavourably to that of the TV series. [69] [70] Harding, Ehrlich, Morrissy and Debruge all noted that fully understanding and appreciating the film requires having watched the first season of the anime beforehand.Cinemore (in Japanese). Spinocerebellar degeneration (SCD), an intractable neurodegenerative disease, most often develops a slowly progressive cerebellar ataxia. Patients with SCD predominantly suffer from gait disturbance due to the degeneration and loss of nerve cells in the cerebellum, brainstem, spinal cord, and basal ganglia [ 1, 2]. The cerebellar ataxic gait associated with SCD, therefore, not only shows an increased postural sway but also poses the risk of falling down [ 3]. Although the rate of disease progression varies with the disease subtype and the individual, the patients are eventually confined to a wheelchair or are bedridden. Such decreased daily activity could then lead to disuse syndrome, including the development of arthrogryposis, muscular atrophy, thromboembolism, and aspiration pneumonia. Curative medical treatment for SCD, unfortunately, has not been reported. Yūma Takahashi, the producer of the anime series, indicated a desire to continue production of the series with the Ufotable Production Team. The sequel project was greenlit following the success of the television series. A film was determined to be the best format for the "Mugen Train" arc due to the arc's shorter content and dramatic pacing. [8] The main cast was made aware of the film project midway through the first season of the television series. [9] The main production staff from the anime television series, as well as the cast, were carried over into the film's production. Haruo Sotozaki served as director, with Akira Matsushima and Manabu Kamino serving as animator and editor of the film, respectively. The film was announced on September 28, 2019, immediately following the airing of the anime series' season finale. The film is a direct sequel to the first season of the anime television series, which was directed by Haruo Sotozaki and written by Ufotable staff members. It has been widely accepted that rhythmic locomotion in vertebrate animals, including mammals, is based on the activity of the CPG, which exists in the neuronal circuits within the spinal cord [ 26]. The CPG produces periodic and alternating motor patterns (e.g., flexion and extension) via excitation and inhibition of interneurons in the central nervous system. Several studies have reported that the spinal circuits in patients with SCI may produce a rhythmic muscle activation pattern for locomotion closely similar to CPG-induced responses [ 27– 29]. These findings suggest that CPG in humans likely exists throughout the lumbar and upper sacral spinal cord. In the robotics field, the CPG model has also been utilized to generate flexible, rhythmic walking using the bipedal robot [ 31– 33]. The control scheme of the curara system, which we designed, is based on the concept of CPG, thereby supporting rhythmic walking of patients with SCD.
