About this deal

We understand that construction activities can sometimes be disruptive and due to the nature of the work some noise is inevitable, but this will be kept to a minimum where possible. Rest assured, we will make every effort to ensure that the work progresses smoothly and any disturbance kept to a minimum. Provide access to the local road network with the introduction of a new left-in, left-out junction at the B6262. We will close the westbound and eastbound exit slips to carry out this work, but not at the same time. Work includes:-

At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A167 (signposted Darlington). Follow signs for the airport. We're replacing the parapets on the north and south bridges that carry the M62 over the A644 near Brighouse; we are doing this work to maintain safety as the current parapet barriers are nearing the end of their working life. The road surface on the eastbound carriageway is showing signs of wear and tear and requires attention. The 10-mile (16km) stretch road between the A66 at Morton Park and the A19 was named the third most improved road in 2013. Work on this section included vehicle activated signage, draining and re-surfacing. [9] Settlements [ edit ] A67 west of Gainford We will continue to work with Farrans Construction and our other partners, with local stakeholders, communities and customers, as we progress across the south of County Durham and into Teesside, on the road to putting this new pipeline, that will deliver benefits for 200,000 customers, into service.” We’re resurfacing the slip road, replacing studs and road markings for safer and smoother journeys. We will work overnight under a full closure of the slip road between 8pm and 6am starting Monday 30 October and we aim to complete by Tuesday 7 November. When complete, westbound traffic will be able to make a right turn onto the moor and U-turn to the east

Construction of a new vehicle turning area on the north side of the eastbound carriageway, and installation of a new a deceleration lane on the right side of the westbound carriageway to allow traffic to turn from west to eastbound We are undertaking drainage and embankment work at Valley Farm, around three-and-a-half miles east of Stainmore, to help maintain safety for road users. This will manage the integrity of the embankment which protects the carriageway and farm access underpass at this point on the A66. For the duration of the work, reduced narrow lanes and speed limits will be in place with average speed cameras installed for safety. We are replacing the safety barrier and carrying out bridge maintenance and localised resurfacing on both carriageways of the A1M between junction 56 (Barton) and junction 58 (Burtree) from Monday 6 February.Construct a new dual-carriageway underpass below the existing Kemplay Bank roundabout – enabling free-flowing traffic along the A66 and improving access to Penrith and the A6 Wafer, dave. "Funding for Local Transport Safer Roads Fund" (PDF). durham.gov.uk. p.2 . Retrieved 8 November 2017. We need to reconstruct the surface beneath the A19 between the Moor Farm roundabout and the Killingworth junction, to reduce the need of continued maintenance.
