You know me," she says. "You know I'm not working on the street. You've got to give me 10 minutes to get to my client's house." The newly pedestrianised All Saints Street carries one of the highest numbers of crimes, mainly due to shoplifting, with 11 offences and five burglaries. Now police has issued CCTV images from a shop of a person they would like to speak to in connection with the burglary. "The more people that know the more effective it is." Historian Dr Emily Webber, who lives close to Old Library Wood with her two young children, said: "There is a problem with drug dealing and prostitutes frequent the area. We have to be included in police patrols. The noise wakes my children up and it is not nice for them to see needles.

The year 2019 is a landmark date for the Rosary Cemetery in that it was established 200 years ago in 1819.Ms Haynes said: "Prince of Wales Road needs cleaning up because there is persistent fly-tipping. Areas that are neglected see more anti-social behaviour." The main entrance to this Grade II* listed cemetery is on Rosary Road > Link. A gate provides access for pedestrians only from Telegraph Lane East > Link. The Rosary was the first non-denominational cemetery in the UK and also the earliest garden cemetery in England. It was established in 1819 by Thomas Drummond, a nonconformist minister, on land formerly in use as a market garden. Claims according to which the Rosary is predated by the no longer existing Dissenters' cemetery in Rusholme Road, Manchester, are incorrect as indeed the records confirm that the latter was opened in 1821, two years after the Rosary, although the first burial in the Rosary did indeed take place in 1821. On 7 April 1824, the Norfolk Chronicle reports that it was agreed that the Rosary burial-ground having been duly entered at the office of the Bishop of the Diocese, and therein designated a general burial-ground for the use of persons of all sects and denominations, shall be invested in trustees on behalf of those who may become the holders of shares, to be limited to 500. The area of land comprising the Rosary - situated at the western end of the Thorpe Ridge and falling gently from north to east and south to west, with a more dramatic, terraced cross slope in the southern section descending from the high ground in the south-east towards the chapel - had formerly been in use as a market garden, and presents a broad green open space between the housing areas to the south and the playing fields of the Telegraph Lane schools to the north (G Goreham, 'Thorpe Hamlet', 1972). The local historian Geoffrey Goreham in 'Norwich Heritage' (1977) wrote "In Rosary Cemetery stone monuments straggle up the slope amongst forest trees and waning sunlight casts long shadows of urns, obelisks and crosses on the maze of winding footpaths", and this is still the case today. Other roads which feature in the top 10 for the first months of this year have been priorities for police in the city centre. The chapel was rebuilt to designs by the Norwich architect Edward Boardman in 1879 and includes a re-set tablet bearing the inscription 'The Rosary burial ground for persons of all denomination registered at the office of the lord Bishop of Norwich June 14th 1821'. There has been a slight shift in recent months in terms of not just enforcement but looking at the kerb crawlers,' he said. 'That has had an impact in the last few months and it needs that focus, which it will always get from the city centre team.' Anne-Marie Andersen, 49, from Rosary Road, said there were problems of people shouting in the park but police were working to make the area safe.

A Co-op spokesperson said: 'The Co-op takes retail crime very seriously and implements a range of measures to both deter criminal activity and to aid convictions.' We have put a lot of effort as a community to make it a nicer space. The anti-social behaviour has got worse." And Another homeowner, Jeremy Chitsiga, 53, said the problems of prostitution were inevitable because of its proximity to the train station and city centre.Laid out in 1819, The Rosary was the first Nonconformist municipal cemetery to be created in England.
