The most famous of the first series’ racers did not even come close to winning the contest. Quirky 24-year-old John Safran from Melbourne (pictured below) won the public’s most popular vote for his series of increasingly bizarre films, which involved everything from Safran running naked through Jerusalem to putting a voodoo hex on an ex-girlfriend. For those unfamiliar with the area, the surprise is the mode of travel the participants have to master. It seems British Columbia doesn’t really do public transport. The next bus to where you want to go arrives the day after tomorrow and there isn’t a train. Even those travelling up the only main road on Vancouver Island, to get from one ferry terminal to another – and hurry, because the ferry only goes three times a week! – have to hitch rides in strangers’ cars. An enjoyable globe-trotting strategy adventure game that we, adults and children, have all enjoyed and have enjoyed playing several times now (it is fast becoming one of our favourite games). Like anything in life, Race Across the World has positives and negatives, but as long as you understand where this game is being pitched, it’s a great investment for casual game nights. The Kratt brothers secretly “borrow” Aviva’s half finished night vision goggles to go in search of a mysterious nocturnal creature. But when the unstable goggles stop working, the brothers find themselves taken in by the nocturnal society of the tarsier. As they investigate, the Wild Kratts team discovers that nocturnal creatures only come out at night and learn that eyes help a creature see by collecting the light that comes from objects all around. But when the tarsier troop is in danger of losing one of their own, Chris and Martin must tap into their newfound understanding of nocturnal living and help the troubled tarsier family.
While exploring why some animals mimic the looks of others, Martin and Chris come across a cheetah cub and its mom. But before they know it, evil fashion designer, Donita Donata, ‘catnips’ the mom right in front of their eyes. The Wild Kratts team go into action to rescue the cheetah before Donita adds her to her new The journey has not just been physical – relationships have been tested and bonds strengthened. At times unpredictable and always dramatic, the pairs complete the experience as very different people from the ones who started the race eight weeks ago. The best way to finish this challenge is to be patient. For the jumping sequence, don't hold down the jump button and steadily proceed from one platform to the next. For the spears, look at their movement pattern and then go through them once they have gone down. Remember, there is a pit between the two rows of spears. For the boulders, only go to the next safety spot, and then proceed to the next. Taking a big step is risky. Safran’s idea of visiting Disneyland was to film himself breaking in through a hole in the fence and then placing new captions on photos within the Disney museum, pointing out the founder’s alleged neo-fascist sympathies.

After watching previous episodes, Monique believes the pair’s biggest challenge will be budgeting: “I think this time I’m going to have to be frugal, and budget, but have fun along the way, obviously.” In the banned film, Safran had entered a series of Brazilian confessionals with a hidden camera and told each priest he had kissed a boy. Tony Wilson from Melbourne was the winner of the second series. Most of the racers from each series went on to careers in media and film-making. Join the Kratt Brothers on these wildly funny adventures that feature how animals use science in their natural lives, from a Basilisk lizard walking on water to an orangutan making medicine out of leaves. Episodes include: Walk on the Wetside, A Huge Orange Problem, Birds of a Feather, and Googly-Eye: The Night Guru. The resulting spectacle – a messy celebration of human foibles, resilience, diversity, resourcefulness and generosity – is a gameshow, travel show and reality show all in one. We really like the idea of the double-sided board for short or longer games, this makes the game much more interesting and playable.
Forty-six days ago, five teams embarked on a monumental journey across the second-largest country in the world – Canada. Without smartphones, internet access and credit cards, the teams’ skill, ingenuity and determination have been tested to the extreme as they attempted to conquer the 16,000-kilometre route. Based on a Canadian show ( Course Destination Monde), the inventive Australian travel documentary game show Race Around the World was hosted by former Doug Anthony Allstars member Richard Fidler.
The Jawhara Temple (Arabic: معبد الجوهرة) is a solo challenge. The selected player must survive three temple booby traps, similar to ROBLOX obbies. A sequence of jumps, rising spears, and a staircase with a falling boulder. To finish this challenge, the player will need to hold down E for 3 seconds to claim a diamond at a safe spot. Once finished, the team will receive their next clue. For a TV show board game, it is excellent (and after watching the television series the board game is very close to it). Scavenger hunts have long been one of our top specialties. They’re inherently super fun. Plus they inspire incredible engagement among teams of all shapes and sizes – even when those teams are connecting and working remotely.
Martin, Chris and crew are in New Guinea to discover why male Birds of Paradise have the best dance moves in the forest. Like many other contestants on the show, father Ladi hopes the show will give him some valuable time with his loved one – daughter Monique. Olivia Rousset, from Perth, won the top prize in the first series, beating six other globetrotting young filmmakers for the trophy. Rousset scored high votes for such films as a look at the pressure to perform for men in the LA porn industry. She narrowly beat Kim Traill for the overall prize while other racers found their chances of victory cruelled by missing deadlines and battling technical or language problems. The films were judged by a panel of industry experts, including film director David Caesar, TV host Tony Squires and actress Sigrid Thornton. A popular audience vote was also considered. The Race Across the World board game is a globe-trotting adventure game based on the BBC television show. It is a game for 2-6 players, aged 8+, where the first to reach their final destination is the winner. The game has a double-sided game board so you can play the game from London to Singapore, as in series one of the TV show, or from Mexico City to Ushuaia (Argentina), as in series two of the TV show.That being said, there are quite a few ‘House Rules’ that can elevate Race Across the World from a light-hearted game into a more challenging endeavour (more on this below).
