Who sadly passed away following a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on the 13th May 2020, aged 88. In his youth Derek watched football at Millmoor and the other South Yorkshire clubs before becoming a referee in the local leagues. It wasn't great. As a coach and a manager for a number of years, all I want to do when I lose a game of football is lose it in a certain way and for my team to show character regardless of who they are up against in terms of ability or physical presence. Roger and his family owned Brittain Brothers (Rotherham Ltd) a furniture and electrical shop in Rotherham at two locations for over 100 years. She had supported Rotherham United throughout her life. She was introduced to Millmoor by her Dad, Maurice as a child and supported the Millers for over 70 years. We are sure that many of our supporters will remember his friendly face greeting them in the old club shop at Millmoor, which he ran for a time, while others will recall meeting him in his role in the VIP lounges. He was a huge fan of Tony Stewart, rightly seeing him as the saviour of the club, and had great respect for Paul Warne and the values he brings to the club, values about people that Dad 100% shared.

His family will miss him at the games and wished they could have had a chance to take him to one more match. Pete passed away on the 16th September 2022 just nine months after Ann, following a diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer in February. Gwyn was a popular presence amongst our supporters, many of whom will remember him on matchdays at both Millmoor and Don Valley Stadium from his duties as a steward for the club.He will be sadly missed every day but so fondly remembered for his smile and his generosity to everyone who had the pleasure to meet him. The thoughts of everyone at Rotherham United are with David's family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. Always listening and watching from home in Spain whenever possible on iFollow, then, on returning to the UK from home in Mablethorpe and latterly Thorne, catching home matches whenever possible. Lifelong supporter of Rotherham United since being a child, first attending matches with his dad at Millmoor to bringing his grandchildren to the AESSEAL New York Stadium, until more recently due to mobility problems, when he continued to support from home watching on T.V and getting regular updates from family and friends.
