Louis XV enjoyed not only fine perfume, but he also had a love for horses. So much so that he commissioned fragrances named after some of his most prized steeds. Percival is one of the absolute best fresh scents on the market, in my opinion classes better than zb (the new formulation) of Aventus. He is fresh, he is slightly aquatic and thus very pleasant to the nose, but can score at the same time with a spicy, peppery note. Well, several run-of-the-mill fragrances like Dior Sauvage can do that too, but not only does Percival do it better, it combines the whole thing with a hint of a green note as icing on the cake. A combination that I have not smelled so yet and which gives a great, but quite linear perfume then yet the depth and complexity of a niche perfume and it clearly stands out from the crowd. Akaster is a decadent fragrance with strong projection. With a rich oud base note, this is a powerful scent. Sure. It smells similar to many other popular fragrances but show me one that smells this high quality with natural ingredients. This is undeniably the king of this particular DNA, which definitely justifes the price, especially when it’s discounted. If you're looking for a signature scent – this is it! Carlisle was born to be king and has consistently been in our Top 3 fragrances. It's a masterpiece. But let's face it – you can read about fragrances all you want but there comes a time you need to try them. This cologne is a star in the versatility category! I’d feel comfortable saying you could wear this with confidence on any occasion if you wanted. I certainly have, and haven’t regretted it!

Nevertheless, I gave Percival considerably more chances than the comparable fragrances from this fragrance, which I always waved away in the Müller/Douglas. And yeaha..I liked Percival better and better, day after day, even though the fragrance experience seemed very familiar to me, of course, without finding a 100% hit, all somehow similar and yet different. What exactly? I don't know, the fragrance appeals to me in its spicy freshness and light sweetness. Have I already fallen for the niche robe? I think that the brand and the bottle in general somehow influences me to be more benevolent towards it, equating the price and the heavy bottle with value and quality. I'm already honest to myself, I can't exclude it completely in this case..and with other scents (meanwhile) also not (anymore). I only noticed over the weeks of abstinence that the fewer niche fragrances I tested, the less I read about them here (daily), the less I put perfume in the spotlight, i.e. more daily users (without thinking much about it) than obsessive collectors who screen fragrances from 100 angles, i have always searched for the best fragrance of the respective category, the more fun I found in such fragrances again, to simply wear them without great fuss and without rising white smoke, as I used to do when it was all about smelling good, at least to me. If you are looking for an uncomplicated feel-good factor, if you like to smell like freshly showered and well-groomed, you are in good hands here. Also here I am quite honest, for the shop price of 200€ I would not have bought it for sure, but online you can get it for about 45% less, so it fit for me. The H&S of Percival is outstanding and one smells him from the morning to the evening. If you spray the clothes, you can be sure that the laundry basket smells like it even three days later. Here I must note, however, that I have a batch from the release year 2018 and do not know whether PdM has meanwhile also taken offense at this great fragrance... Für mich einer der gefälligsten frischen Nischendüfte. Man kann mit dem nichts falsch machen. Für die richtig ausgefallenden Nischen-Freaks eher zu gewöhnlich. Könnte mir gut vorstellen dass dieser bei den Damen gut ankommt, ähnlich wie früher Fierce. Sollte man sich wenn aber mit Rabatt holen. Eine perfekte Wahl für Leute, die einen gefälligen Allround-Duft suchen.

Pegasus Exclusif has a sweet, woody scent. It's rich, luxurious and has a somewhat darker, more mysterious profile than the original Pegasus formula. Eigentlich möchte ich mich nicht auf so ein Diskussionsniveau begeben, da ich mit den Schubladen(denken) Nische/Mainstream nicht viel anfangen kann, aber die Aussage in einem Statement zu diesem Duft hat mich zum Nachdenken angeregt. Parfums de Marly ist einfach ein Nischenlabel, was einfach den Nerv trifft mit meist nicht zu komplexen Konzepten, qualitativ hochwertig. Oft Designer-ähnliche Konzepte zu Nischenqualität. Auch dieser Percival. Ein soooo gefälliger Duft, der fast jedem gefallen wird. Auch massenhaft Komplimente bleiben nicht aus, wie bei den meisten der Marly-Düfte. Actually I don't want to go to such a discussion level, because I can't do much with the drawers (think) niche/mainstream, but the statement in a statement about this scent has made me think. Percival ist für mich das Parfum, welches ich auftrage, wenn ich nicht weiß, was ich tragen soll. Wenn ich mich nicht entscheiden kann. Wenn es schnell gehen muss und ich Creed Aventus schon satt habe (ja, derzeit rieche ich es sogar um einiges lieber als Aventus)
