Naturehike Cloud Peak 2 vs Hilleberg The Cloud Up 2 is a slightly larger version of the Cloud Up 1. Officially, it’s a two-person tent, but it would be better for one person who wants more space to spread out or an adult and a child. This tent is a decent copy of the Hilleberg Allak, but we don’t like some of the shortcuts that have been taken. For example, the zippers are low-quality and tend to break, which makes the whole tent vulnerable to leaking and insects.

It also has sealed seams to protect you from the rain; these seams aren’t always present in Naturehike tents. The Naturehike Cloud Peak 2 shares many characteristics with the far more expensive Hilleberg Allak Tent. It is common for popular tents to be copied into lower budget versions, but you shouldn’t expect the same quality from the Cloud Peak 2 as you would find with the original Hilleberg model. The Naturehike materials will not protect you from the extreme cold as well as the Hilleberg will, but the tent does benefit from the same ergonomic layout. Waterproofing

It’ll be fine for weekend trips but it’s not the best choice for long-distance thru-hiking. It would certainly be a fantastic choice for bike touring, though it’d be a good idea to share the tent weight with the person you’ll be sleeping next to. However, if it’s raining for much longer, you may find that water starts to penetrate the floor. Durability I like the ratio of mesh on the inside, I think it would provide good protection for colder windy nights, but also not get too hot in the summer if I just use the inner. We also like the extra waterproofing provided by the sealed seams, which aren’t always present in Naturehike’s models. For the weight and price, the quality of this tent is very good. What We Don’t LikeWe would say no, the Naturehike Cloud Peak 2 is not a 4 season tent. We would class it as a 3 season tent: Fire Making Equipment Making a Fire can be one of the most important parts of Bushcraft or Camping, Not only does it generate heat and enabling cooking of a great meal it is also one of the most social parts of the trip sitting around with your friends. Read More For the vast majority of campers and climates, though, Naturehike tents are a comfortable and reliable choice. There are talks of a Naturehike Cloud Peak 2 upgrade, but as yet we have no information about it. As soon as we find something out, we’ll publish it.
