About this deal

And now add a plus one here. Out of the darkest universe arrives the former nanny, Hannah, into the mix. Jo is elated, but Virginia is filled with foreboding. Young Ruby is standoffish as well. Let's just say that there's something about Hannah. Hmmmmm...... Myriam is a Moroccan-French mother who has left her career of being a lawyer because of the work her two children have put her on. Her husband, Paul, is working day and night trying to get the financial help they need to pay all these debts they own and to settle in their small apartment to continue being a happy family. The thing is, they aren’t a happy family, which is where the perfect nanny comes in. When Myriam and Paul meet Louise, they love her, instantly. They love her compassion, love, and adoration for their children. They love the way she keeps things tidy and organized, how she reads stories to their children, how she cooks, how she cleans, how she manages to make everything seem perfect, perhaps too perfect. But that’s where Myriam sees something—this nanny seems to be too perfect. When Louise becomes close to Adam and Mila, the two children of Paul and Myriam, she can’t help but feel love and adoration for them, but also jealousy and envy when they’re close to someone else, when they don’t listen to her but listen to others, when they don’t want to be near her but want to be with their parents. Little did these two law workers ever think their perfect nanny would be more than just a nanny. I would be lying if I said I didn't read this for the spice. Someone told me it was very spicy and I needed something with a little bit of heat. But you know when something becomes spicy just because you have thrown TOO MUCH pepper in and not because you used exotic spices? Yeah, that's basically this... There is quite a bit of smut but it's pretty much 80% just bland vanilla. Those were basically my only two notes because this book was the best time. The Nanny (and the Daddy) was literally so hot and so perfect!!! Lana Ferguson has a forever fan in me. Her next book is a complete swerve into shifter romance but I sure will be reading it. The teaser was already addictive and I need answers!!

Gilly Macmillan presents a whirlwind game of musical chairs through a sharply faceted range of hard-to-pinpoint characters. Some travel light and some seem to drag in copious amounts of weighted baggage. Baggage with their own nametags and baggage from anonymous sources.Trigger/content warnings for child abuse and murder. The book literally starts off with a dead baby's body. There is also some child abuse (of course since we know the nanny is the killer) and mentions of threats.

I love this book so much! Main characters were incredible! I became a big fan of Wanda! And I loved Sophie so much, totally agreed with her Encanto obsession and not to talk about Bruno!

And, unfortunately, when it comes to stories of caretakers who just up and went “poof” in the night, I kinda liked The Au Pair better. Crawford's writing career came to a crashing halt in 1955 when the column to which her name was attached was exposed as a fraud. It carried details of a Trooping the Colour ceremony and the Ascot races, when in fact they had been cancelled that year because of a national railway strike. As the stories were written in advance, it was too late to stop their publication. She has been estranged from her Mother for thirty years, but she must put her own daughter, Ruby, first, so with nowhere else to go, the pair leave California, for the very atmospheric Lake Hall, in England. When Cassie loses her job in the children hospital, her plans to keep a roof above her head and pay her school tuitions sound like impossible plan to her! She needs a job covering her expanses urgently! Her dreams come through so fast than she expected when she answers an ad for live-in nanny position and gets summoned to an interview with her future boss at the restaurant he works at.
