About this deal

Helbrute • Ferrum Infernus Dreadnought • Chaos Contemptor Pattern Dreadnought • Sonic Dreadnought • Berserker Dreadnought • Leviathan Dreadnought Take a MoE, make him Flawless Host, give him the Mark of Slaanesh... which you should anyway because he's Flawless Host...then make him the Warlord to give him Ultimate Confidence, and then the Intoxicating Elixir Relic. I’m here for the re-roll aura. These Chaos lords are here to be re-roll auras first and powerful fighters second. Give them a chainaxe and run them alongside Berserkers to act as force multipliers. Don’t spend too many points on them.

Only the most single-minded Chaos Space Marines become Masters of Execution. It is a calling that comes in many forms, such as hearing a ceaseless stream of whispers telling them to seek out and behead the mightiest enemies, or visions of disembodied skulls from which a deluge of blood drips onto the battlefield. Others perceive the heads of their foes as repositories of knowledge that need to be forced open, or sheaves of flesh and bone that are ripe to harvest. Regardless of how they are called, these warriors cast aside all other pursuits of glory and dedicate themselves solely to murder. Some Masters of Execution find themselves compelled to butcher only foes from a specific faction or race, and this is reflected in the skull trophies that don their armor. [3] The Night Lords don’t have any special characters but there are a few units that work well in the army with their particular traits and rules that are worth calling out. Raptors Be mindful of terrain. Between From the Night and One With the Shadows you’ll want to keep an eye on terrain so you can make good use of it for your approach. Be sure to note where difficult terrain is and where you have to worry about being slowed. At the end of each phase, if any TITANIC units were destroyed that phase, you gain 1 additional BTP.Flayer. Replaces a power sword, accursed weapon, or force sword with one that’s S+2, AP-3, 2 damage and killed models count as 2 each for morale purposes. You can’t give this to a squad leader and you’re never giving it to a Sorcerer, so that just leaves Chaos Lords to carry the thing. You aren’t taking those either and even if you were, there are better options than this. D Rhino • Predator • Infernal Relic Predator • Vindicator • Land Raider • Land Raider Proteus • Land Raider Achilles • Land Raider Hades Diabolus • Relic Sicaran • Sicaran Venator • Maulerfiend • Forgefiend • Defiler • Brass Scorpion • Blood Slaughterer • Decimator • Blight Drone • Kytan • Plague Hulk • Venomcrawler • Whirlwind Scorpius There are a bunch of Khorne Daemon units that aren’t great , but also aren’t terrible if you’re trying to make the faction work. These tend to be units that are just outclassed by other options or aren’t quite good enough, but you aren’t flat out killing yourself by taking them. Skulltaker

Exalted Sorcerer • Sorcerer • Warpsmith • Dark Apostle • Master of Possession • Master of Executions • Lord Discordant • Warsmith • Death Guard Sorcerer • Lord of Contagion • Malignant Plaguecaster • Plague Surgeon • Tallyman • Scarab Occult Sorcerer • Scarab Occult Terminators Leadership Debuffs. The Night Lords’ Leadership debuffs are as good as you’re going to find. Their Legion Trait gives nearby units -2 to their Leadership, and you can easily get this to -3 with units of Possessed or Raptors, and if you work at it you can push that to -4 with help from Chaos Daemons or Chaos Knights. Against many armies, Ld-3 can immediately put units into testing territory, and getting free extra kills is always nice. Aspect of Death – Each time an enemy model fails a Morale test within 8” of your warlord, they lose an additional model. This doesn’t matter against big hordes and against high-value targets, they probably won’t fail morale tests. D Once you have selected an eligible unit to declare a charge, you must select one or more enemy units within 12" of it as the targets of that charge. The targets of a charge do not need to be visible to the charging unit. So much of your strategy as Khorne is going to rely on DAEMON ENGINE units that you’ll want these guys running around buffing your Kytans, Blood Slaughterers, Maulerfiends, or whatever else you’re running.

Master of Executions

Now what happens when you take a Supreme Command Detachment of them in a Rhino? the other 3-4 MoE won't hit as hard as the Warlord but all of them running around like that is scary and can't really be ignored. Spartan • Fellblade • Typhon • Cerberus • Falchion • Mastodon • Lord of Skulls • Death Wheel • Plaguereaper • Plague Centurion Rules Support. The Night Lords have some of the best Stratagems, Warlord Traits, and Relics of any of the traitor legions, which helps them make up for having a less powerful trait.

This guy has the Fearsome aura, comes with some OK weapons, and can benefit from a number of Night Lords relics, traits, and anything that affects units with FLY, plus he can easily keep up with other JUMP INFANTRY. Lord Discordants Shooting– Generally speaking, Khorne-heavy armies will be worse at shooting. They just don’t want to be doing it anyways. HQ: Lord Discordant on Helstalker, W arlord: Unholy Fortitude. Mark of Khorne, Talisman of Burning BloodFlamers are one of the game’s best units – they’re tough, they FLY with a 12’ move, and they each throw out an absurd number of shots (D6+3) with S5 AP-2 flame weapons. There’s almost no Chaos army that doesn’t want to include more of these, and you could honestly claim that building a Chaos Space Marines army is as simple as starting with a Patrol detachment of one Fluxcaster, one unit of Horrors, and 18 Flamers. If there’s a downside to them, it’s that they don’t want to be in melee, so you want other units which can get closer to help debuff enemy Leadership. Heralds essentially come in three varieties: Bloodmasters, your bog-standard Heralds, Skullmasters, your Heralds on Juggernauts, and Blood Thrones, your Heralds on a Chariot. All three have the Locus of Khorne aura, which boosts nearby KHORNE DAEMONS within 6” by giving them +1 Strength. This is incredibly powerful , and also works on Chaos Space Marine Daemon units. Don: Troops are the mainstay of the legions and it is no different here. For the most part, these have gotten better, and there’s a new troop option to consider in this Codex. Unfortunately, there’s no way to get dread effects for your Dreadblade super-heavy auxiliary detachment; you can’t get the House Korvax trait with a Fell Bond. So if you’re adding Chaos Knights, it’s just for their raw capabilities in-game, which probably means adding long-ranged shooting support for your melee units.
