Hook any number of goats up to this sleigh and Christmas is off. We just did a display at our bank-owned State Fair, and just before tearing down I watched a girl literally having to drag her goat out of the building. Fortunately for her, goat hooves don’t grip well on sealed concrete. Since the reindeer and sleigh all move, the reins are not rigidly clipped to the reindeer, like they are in the set. The clips need to be removed from the reindeer and a few replaced with a bar for the reins to rest on. These parts are all noted in the instructions and included in the parts lists, but it might not be immediately obvious how they are used. If you are building an 8 reindeer version, you can start with the instructions for the 4 reindeer version and build two additional reindeer base modules to extend it. The reins can be extended in the same way as for the 9 reindeer version, without the 2 bars and hilts at the end.

Sure, you could add a piece here or there to increase stability, but as far as looks go this is one for the books.

It’s not a big deal if this set is going to be a display piece, but since I plan on playing around with my kids, it will need all the sturdiness it can get. I plan on remedying this by using a 1×4 tile to connect the runners together. I only have the elf village and gingerbread as I have just about every large 'big boy' set and the wife doesn't want me completely taking over Christmas with Lego too and leaving no space for the 'family' traditional nativity we all seem to have... Those two builds are so unique and pretty with the most up to date techniques they just don't need much else for a great seasonal display IMO.
