About this deal

Both, Alana and Cal were perfect in their own way with flaws and struggles. It was so good to finally get into Cal's POV, and see all that he has to offer the world. He's not perfect and as we have seen he's struggled with alcohol/addictions. Seeing his journey made me cry and root for him. I'm truly happy that he found himself and the journey he was willing to go through. ALANA! we finally meet Lana and she was everything and more. I honestly loved her so much. Her love and dedication for the people she loves is truly beautiful. Let's thank Brady Kane, because he gave Cal and Lana that little push they needed to chase their dreams and their HEA. Lana was an FMC after my own heart! She was strong, she was smart, she was sassy! I loved her! I appreciated the perspective of loving someone with an addiction and how incredibly hard that can be especially after being burned so many times before by people she loved.

Cal is strong and he knows his addiction has to be handled and managed and eventually he does go to rehab. Now this is the point I want to clarify why I didn't award this as a five star book. I’ve always loved you, although at first it was platonic and innocent. But the love grew as we did, morphing into something more mature. Something strong enough to stand the test of time and distance every single year. A love built on memories of the past and a hope for the future" Let me tell you, Cami (Lana’s daughter) is a little spitfire and had an adorable way of stealing the show from either Lana or Cal. Kami is probably the biggest reason that Lana made it through those six years after having her heart broken by Cal. Cami gave Lana a reason to make it through each day, and you it’s clear that Kami and Lana have an unbreakable relationship with love and trust. With Cami only being old enough to be in elementary school she is smart and observant with that childish charm that lowkey freaks Cal out at first but also steals his heart like Lana did.Because if Cal is the sun, then the rest of us are aimless planets revolving around him, tragically trapped in his orbit. First all can we talk about how I love how the book touched on love and struggling with an addiction. I think it can help someone who has either dealt with this in life or has someone who's struggling with an addiction and how they can cope. Cal blinks twice at my smile before returning my grin with one of his own. Before I know it, he is swooping me into his arms too, smushing me against Cami. The added weight throws him off-balance and the three of us crash against the carpet, with him taking the brunt of the weight. Cami giggling between us makes both Cal and me both laugh too.

To receive my inheritance I was tasked with spending a summer at the family lake house before selling it. I feel like it didn’t had to be this long but YALL WAIT TILL CHAPTER 30😮‍💨🤌🏻 it gave me what i wanted from the start hehe Their story is also about forgiveness, trust and healing. It is full of angsty, but also beautiful moments. In general, the characters' pains, fears and feelings made them relatable, and their journeys and development were amazing and very well worked. Besides, I love how Cal made it clear that he wanted to get better not only for Lana and Cami, but for himself—for him to be the man he knows he can be, a man that deserves them. It showed how much he'd grown and it is the best development his character could've had! Falling in love with yourself is ten times harder than falling in love with someone else, especially when I don't like myself very much."

Other books by the author

I attempt to pull myself free of his grasp and fail. His fingers clasping my wrist tighten before he releases me, and my hand drops by my side like a pendulum. The first in the Dreamland Billionaires Series. I actually read this second and the second one first, so please note you can read them as standalones. To receive my inheritance, I was tasked with spending a summer at the family lake house before selling it.

my expectations for this book was in hell and basically nonexistent because i’ve read 3-4 books by her and they’ve been average/decent at best and boring at worst. so my opinion of this book will def be in the minority lol. BUT i do think this is her best one yet I walked away from you before because I thought I was doing the right thing. That you were better off without me. That you would be happier. I don’t plan on making that same mistake again, even if you expect me to. While I might mess up—hell, I can practically guarantee it—I’m not going to run away again. I’ll fight for us no matter what.” I just wanted to note something personal here; As a Latina, I thought the Latin representation in this book is done exceptionally well! From the phrases they used in Spanish to the foods and even breaking some stereotypes (yes, some Latin ppl listen to country music, I'm not one of them but my cousin eats that sh*t up!) So many times, I see ppl speak out when it's not done well that I wanted to make a point of applauding the author here bc I was so happy to see it done with such care. 💙

Alana is an inspiration, she is fierce, protective, independent and yet has the biggest heart. I had a soft spot for Cal since book 1, and my love for him only grew after this book. he has these internal struggles but is so happy and appears to be easy going on the outside. his emotions were so real and raw and it just made my heart ache for him. you truly cannot help but root for him. To the Dreamland Billionaires series, you will always hold a special place in my heart. To see the Kane brothers grow and find their amazing heroines was truly an honor. This was the first series that I saw a middle eastern character like myself be portrayed so amazingly. I see a lot of myself in Zahra and I will never forget the feeling of starting this series with such great characters. This is such a bittersweet goodbye (and I absolutely cried finishing Final Offer) but nonetheless it ended perfectly and I have no complaints.

but with Cal and Alana, the pacing was close to perfect, honestly. we get the hostility from two exes returning to each other’s lives. we get the grief and mourning of what that relationship could have been. we get the pining and tension of unresolved feelings. we get the chemistry with the conflicted push and pull. the relationship progression wasn’t rushed at all. you don’t understand how many hallelujahs i was sending up above the more i read because it was my biggest fear going into the book. It has plenty of spice in it if that's your thing, for me I ended up skimming some of it as it was repetitive. But if this is your thing you won't be disappointed. As for the couple, it is so easy to love them. They are both hurt from their past and can’t let it go, but at the same, they can't stay away from each other. Even while they’re trying to shut down their feelings for each other and to put some distance between them, fearing for the worst, it’s impossible not to hope for them to get together—not when their chemistry and interactions always feel so light and natural. Their fears—mostly hers—and hesitations are totally comprehensible and fair—which led to some painful scenes, but also made it delightful to see the way they both worked hard and put effort in making things right this time. Girls: Iris, Alana, Zahra (my eye still twitches when i remember she’s basically a disney adult but i digress) From TikTok sensation Lauren Asher comes the final spicy romance in the Dreamland Billionaires series.
