About this deal

Then comes this new guy, Masen, who is trying his best to torment and embarrass Ryen. What Ryen doesn’t know is that Masen is actually Misha.

say that I didn’t enjoy this last instalment would be a lie bcs I actually really did (to a certain degree heh). Although I didn’t think it was as thrilling and had-me-at-the-edge-of-my-seat as I experienced with Hideaway and maybe bcs of that, I ended up finishing this a little later than I expected. This book was definitely too long for me and I swear I kept dozing off 40% into it zzz. Skip the next three paragraphs if you don't want to hear me gush over my favorite character in the series. LOL* Will is his best friend and the brother he never had. Their relationship isn't without it's complications, but nobody can deny their strong bond or the deep love they have for one another. Aside from being the wrap up of the entire Devil's Night series, Nightfall is Will's story, and you get a lot of the Damon/Will dynamic throughout this book. If you enjoy their unique friendship, you won't be disappointed. After the middle of the book, it didn't feel like their story - because somehow, the secondary characters cast a shadow over the main ones. ❤ How she’d push her grandmother in her wheelchair down to the village, both of them smiling and eating ice cream together. Emmy would hold her hand the whole time they sat.

Also, did you notice that this series is self-published? yes! despite the fact that indie publishing makes it tougher to authors to get recognition and reach a wider audience this didn’t prevent author Penelope Douglas to become a New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author. Congratulations to her! listen, i love Alex but i actually resented her and Will's friendship here because of the sex scenes!! Aydin telling Alex to moan Will's name in front of Will and Emory while both couples are having sex and then Emory doing an out-of-character thing where she sleeps with Alex in front of Will and Will being aroused by that?? what?? i ain't a prude and all but i honestly don't like all the sharing/threesome/orgy scenes in this book because they don't make sense!!!. Years of nights,” I said, and I wasn’t sure if I was saying it more for her or me anymore, but I kept going. “Years of not thinking of you. Nearly an entire life of memories and history that doesn’t include you. You were nothing.”

Did the author do an incredible job with Will's story and the ending to this series? Without question!I must point out that Will was not a character that particularly intrigued me - but the book started with such a crazy bang, that for a moment I got dizzy!!! 💥💣 Don’t you know that you can have anything you want?” His eyes searched mine. “I’ll hurt anyone for you.”

Emory is such a badass and I admire her so much. The things she's been through weren't easy to take at all and she still kept herself up even when she felt like letting loose. I loved how she kept herself so strong even when she was coping with domestic violence/abuse and when she felt so utterly lonely. The heroine: Emory - This is the first book Emory appears in, though she has been referred to in prior books. We knew she was abused by her brother but in this book we get to know her and we see how bad the abuse was and how it shaped her and her actions. Thank you, Penelope Douglas, for this masterpiece. I'll be forever grateful to you for writing the way you do with unique storylines and morally gray characters that push our boundaries and for giving me one of my favorite characters and series of all time. But the older she got, the angrier she got, and the more desperate I got in trying to forget her, and I just needed this to be over.Credence: This story also takes place in the Fall Away world—and it takes place after the series ends. This is before the Hellbent begins and a character from Credence appears in the Hellbent series. However, it can be read by itself. I loved all the side characters introduced in this book to the point that I'm kinda hoping for a spin off with Athos as the lead. That would be so much fun to read. The epilogue was AMAZING. I really don't want to say goodbye to these characters.

The answer to this question is subjective. Some characters deserved better closure than they got. Also, a few things about this book were unreal. As the way these kids behaved is not something you would see in the real world. Some of the parts of this book are provoking, including murder, rape, attempted rape, child abuse, and coercion. So, if you are a bold-hearted reader who likes reading dark romances, then this book is worth your time. I fell in love with this series, when I read the first book, but I fell in love with Penelope Douglas' writing long before that. Fall Away is one of my favorite series, which I read over and over again. My heart splintered a little more, and I looked away, shaking my head. What I would have given for Will to say that just once. Or my brother.”

Misha and Ryen became pen pals when they were 11yrs old when they were mistakenly paired up as pen pals by their fifth-grade teachers. The two friends kept corresponding through letters—and their friendship grew stronger. When her parents were alive, they would always ship her off to boarding schools, but this time around, she has been shipped off to her step-uncle’s home in remote Chapel Peak.
