A few permanently bright or dark pixels are considered normal by industry standards. The exact number of pixels that are allowed varies depending on the monitor. Refer to Dell Display Pixel Guidelines or more details. Press button 1 on the front-panel. The color of the screen changes to red. Inspect the screen for abnormalities. The Dell S3423DWC’s panel uniformity isn’t great since there were some light leaks on the top and bottom edges of the screen. They resulted in clouding issues that become visible while the display is showing dark scenes. This is common with curved displays but it’s not a permanent issue so there are better units out there. Make sure that the video cable connecting the monitor to the computer is connected properly and is secure. Updated to Test Bench 1.2, resulting in changes to the results and scores with the Response Time and Input Lag. Added tests for Console Compatibility and macOS compatibility and made minor changes to other tests, which you can see in our Changelog. Hard drive retention: Hard drive retention is not available on models with a soldered hard drive, including XPS 9315 2in1, Chromebooks or Venue tablets, except the Venue 11 Pro.

The mix of ports on this monitor is pleasing. No matter what I wanted to connect to this monitor, it worked. From left to right, there’s the power connector, HDMI 2.0 port, another HDMI 2.0 port, then USB-C upstream (with up to 65 watts of power delivery.) There’s also an audio line out power, a Super Speed USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 Type B upstream port, and a Super Speed USB 3.2 Gen 1 downstream port. Then, under the chin, you get a USB-A port with up to 10 watts of power charging. Some USB devices like external portable HDD require higher electric current; connect the device directly to the computer.

Due to different video formats (aspect ratio) of DVDs and videos, the monitor may display in screen.
