Crabbie’s became the first new single malt whisky distiller in Edinburgh for 93 years when it opened the Chain Pier distillery at Granton Harbour in September 2018. The Crabbie name has been associated with Scotch whisky for over 200 years, Brown explained, with John Crabbie & Co having been established in 1801 in Leith, Edinburgh.
