Because that's me with The Other Wind. I put off reading this book for about a year and a half... until I woke up this morning and finally decided it was time.

Alder, a troubled sorcerer who dreams of the Wall in the Dry Land and his love reaching out for him, seeks out Ged on Gont and tells him of his troubling dreams. Ged tries to comfort him and in the end, gave Alder a cat pet. Through careful crafting, Le Guin interweaves the lives of three main characters into a shifting balance of the powers of light and dark. Even in a world of temperamental magic, Le Guin's characters are refreshingly relatable. Our guides of Earthsea aren't babbling or overly emotional. Through her artful economy, Le Guin vitalizes characters we learn to love for their thoughtful goodness and resiliency. The most extreme tornado ever recorded occurred on March 18, 1925. This “Tri-State Tornado” sped for 338 kilometers (219 miles) through Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. The tornado destroyed local communications, making warnings for the next town nearly impossible.
