Themen wie Mobbing, Teilen, Empathie, Zusammenhalt und Ehrlichkeit werden aufgegriffen und das auf kindgerechte und nachvollziehbare Art und Weise. Der Schreibstil ist insgesamt humorvoll, unterhaltsam und sehr kurzweilig. Witzig finde ich auch, dass die Wichtel ausschließlich in Reimen und Gesang kommunizieren. Außerdem spricht Tom Fletcher die Lesenden immer wieder direkt an und bezieht auch sich selbst als Autoren mit ein. Sehr gelungen! Due to the format of this book it felt like lots of mini short stories as each characters reasons of being on the naughty list was different and I don't think they flowed naturally and left for a stilted reading experience.

His debut novel, The Christmasaurus is currently being developed by The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey into an animated, feature-length movie with original songs written by Tom.
