About this deal

Well I still think the HD2 has a nice look and still the neatest flushest spider but it does not heal the holes so well and that is spoiling it overall. Will have to see how the G3 wears I think. On top of that, the wiring has also been made stronger and more heavy-duty. Thanks to the carbon diffusion technology, the wiring is 20% more durable compared to the Blade 4. ( Carbon diffusionis a way of making steel stronger by increasing the carbon content in it.) I guess the price is the driving factor, if they did a version without Rotafix then it might seem more appealing to the masses. Recently Mission Darts and Darts Corner became the official sponsors of the UK Darts Association so the Mission Samurai 2 dartboard will be the board used for the UKDA. When it comes to steel tip dartboards — read bristle dartboards — Winmau dartboards are currently second to none. And so is the case with this little fellow right here — the Blade 5 Dual Core.

Density of the board is I would say about average. White sections fairly soft with the coloured sections just a touch harder and possibly the greens being a little harder the others. I think they will soften more in time as I believe its just the inking that binds the sisal fibres a little more. Once its broken in it will be good.Darts is one of the very few hobbies—or sports—that is so cheap that you can outright start using the same equipment that even the pros use. A poor quality dartboard can literally make any beginner darts player give up on darts before they have even started. The points of the darts should be kept a little rounded and not very sharp, as this can damage the sisal fibers. (See article: How to sharpen darts properly) Overall this is one excellent electronic dartboard that comes with everything you need to start playing immediately. The blade wiring is super thin and angled in such a way as to direct the darts into the dartboard. (The angle of the wiring is only 60 degrees.)

But reviewing and narrowing down the best dartboards takes time. Even more, it takes experience and a good deal of understanding what makes a dartboard not just good but exceptional. On newer dartboards, a different type of wiring is being utilized, one which is embedded directly into the dartboard. As a result of this many dartboards, today can actually be entirely staple-free. Rotating your dartboard is important as this ensures each of the sections get some time off when the bristle fibers can recover and heal—a rotatable dartboard will last longer in general.

Use only appropriately sharpened darts that will not damage the fibers of the board. After a while, the tips of the steel tip darts will start to dull, and this can cause some bounce-outs. This warrants some sharpening—however, do not overdo it. The first surface layer of bristle fibers has a lower density which allows for better penetration and lowered chances of bounce-outs; and But you can also play against the computer — so even if you are all by yourself, you can still treat yourself to some neat competitive-feeling games. However, many people will tell you to buy one or the other for different reasons. In reality, both dartboards are of fairly similar quality and just have some slight differences, which are not enough to make one or the other marginally superior. I am not going to declare it the best board like I did with the G2 though, not because I don’t think its worthy of such a title but because I think there is a few contenders now and I firmly believe after hearing so many views from people around the net that there is no one board that is outright the best because people seem to have their own preferences for various reasons. What I will say is at present the board is definitely near the top of the list but I am not sure its advanced enough over the G2 to warrant the higher price tag.
