Ferran is a music teacher with over 25 years of teaching experiencs in both high schools and music schools. He is a multi-instrumentalist with various academic degrees in music instruments and currently plays in a brass quintet group – “Quintet de Metalls AlVent”. Ferran also played in numerous professional orchestras, such as “ Filarmónica de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria” or “Orquestra Simfònica del Vallés ”. Alto Flute

The Alto flute is the next extension downward of the Flute in C. It is characterized by its distinct, mellow tone in the lower portion of its range.

The jFlute is the perfect first flute choice for ages 4 to 10. It plays fully chromatically with standard flute fingering down to low D. It can be easily upgraded with our jFlute Upgrade Kit. which includes a straight head joint and C foot joint. Flute

The standard flute in C comes with a wide variety of options from the silver plated student models to flutes which are precious metal throughout. There is also the option of closed hole which the vast majority of student flutes are, or open hole which is more common in advanced models.

Plastic Woodwind Instruments

Plastic Woodwind Instruments have become widely used in Education, not least because they are cheaper than the real thing but because they are small and light and have a remarkable sound making them very acceptable teaching instruments – not to mention almost indestructible!

The Lyons C clarinet and latterly the Clarineo is used by thousands of students throughout the world. Recently joined by the Nuvo flute and jSax, plastic woodwind instruments are opening up avenues that otherwise wouldn’t have existed.

Jacqueline is 3 years old and a K.1 pupil at St. Stephen’s Girls’ College Kindergarten. She started her clarinet study with Mr Kenneth Kan from Artstive Company in January 2022 and she enjoys playing the NUVO Clarinéo very much. Recently, she has been awarded the Third Prize in the Children Woodwind (age 8 or below) in Fringe Inter-school Music Competition and the Platinum Medal in the Quebec International Music Competition, and she has performed in two charity events.
