This is a personal preference, and we found the cross strap provided a bit more support during upward movement. Overall we like the standard Teva Hurricane XLT 2 model the best, or the Cross Strap if you need that support. The fit of the Hurricane XLT 2 is fairly standard, and will work for most people.
