About this deal

The first time Grey had been called by her character’s name, it thrilled her. The next few times, it had bruised her ego a little. Now, six seasons and 132 episodes of Poison Paradise later, she took it in stride. It was better than not being recognized at all. I've said it before, and I will say it again - It's all about the journey! What a journey it is! It's not always an easy one as the characters have their own issues (one more than the other) to work on.

Moreover, she made a silly mistake in the course of her career immediately after her successful outing with her popular movie series. i loved how the characters were written. dual pov is one of my favorite things ever, i love knowing that the characters that supposedly “hate” each other are instead YEARNING for each other. this author did amazing writing the characters. like i said before, i don’t really like time jump books because i usually favor one time more but that was not the case with this book! i loved every second of it. when i tell you i highlighted over 200 quotes I MEAN IT. Communication– the communication that both characters had was phenomenal. Sure there were some moments when they didn’t talk things through as much as they should have, but I understood the why behind those moments. However for the most part they acted like adults and talked things through!Of course, no one needs to tell anyone how it is with these celebrities and the people they are involved with. One bad behavior and scandal can cost you your entire career, and if you are not careful and you are involved with a court case, it would cost you your life savings.

Shane is that hero who has been pining and loving the heroine for many years. You'll see it clearly, even if they show that they hate each other. Shane would drop down on one knee if Lilah tells him she wants him. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. She was it for him since forever ago and she still is the most beautiful person to him years later. I loved this book and I was invested in both Lilah and Shane from the word go. Ava's writing is so easy going and flows really well that I flew through the book. I will definitely be reading Ava's work again. Over the course of the filming of season one, they could not get out of each other’s pants. However, due to a Mysterious Fight, they stopped speaking and basically made the cast and crew’s lives hell for five more seasons. The novel was half a light-hearted steamy romance and half that showed Ethan’s struggle with addiction. But I feel like his recovery was brushed off in a way?? Like, he went to rehab and isolated himself for a while, but after getting his POV with his struggles, we get no POV of his recovery, and that just made me sad. It was like, he went to rehab, figured his feelings out, apologized, and then they lived happily ever after. After that whole journey, we just get a chapter of him after recovery and then an epilogue? The ending was way too rushed, and I didn’t like that. While I didn't enjoy Wilder's debut book, 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘍𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘏𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘺𝘸𝘰𝘰𝘥, I was blown away by how much I adored 𝘞𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘰𝘳 𝘞𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺. This celebrity, second chance romance delivered on chaos of the industry, but also the complications of falling in love with a co-star. The fake dating was honestly written so well!! Two celebrities dating to better their image? It probably has happened before, and I love that realistic aspect of this book. It made the characters just a bit more real, and it made them likable. I hold this book in higher regard than "How to Fake it in Hollywood," and it has already secured a spot in my top five romances of 2023. My heartfelt gratitude to Ava Wilder for crafting such a captivating story. Eighteen-year-old Mallory Greenleaf is no longer interested in chess, not since her hypercompetitive dad left—the game calls up painful memories. But she grudgingly agrees to play in a charity tournament as a favor to best friend Easton Peña. After she unexpectedly beats current world champion Nolan Sawyer, she’s offered a fellowship that will prepare her to play professionally. Even though Mallory doesn’t want to play anymore, she needs the money that winning would provide; she’s delayed college to support her family, since her mother is chronically ill with rheumatoid arthritis and is unable to work regularly. The more time she spends with Nolan, the more Mallory comes to like and respect him—and the more time she spends playing chess, the more she remembers how much she loved it. But when she learns that Nolan has been keeping a big secret from her, she isn’t sure if she’ll be able to move past it to build a relationship with him. Filled with the author’s signature humor, well-developed characters, and realistic conflicts, plus the fully realized setting of competitive chess, this captivating romance will delight teen readers as well as Hazelwood’s adult fans. Mallory and Nolan are both cued white; there is some racial diversity among the supporting cast. Mallory and Easton are queer. With their plan working perfectly, the sizzling chemistry between Grey and Ethan soon starts to feel like more than just an act. But in this ruthless industry, are they both too used to faking it to open themselves up to the real thing?

It’s just, like, I feel like I grew up with Lucy, you know? Like, I started watching the show when I was in, like, elementary school. You were, like... my big sister.” Kelly turned her face up at Grey with a look of such naked vulnerability that Grey’s heart ached a little. She felt guilty for being annoyed at the interruption.Addiction, child star molestation, dark side of fame were triggering subjects which were honestly approached but even the execution of fake relationship parts were a little messy! This empathetic, sexy, utterly radiant book has my whole heart. With their red-hot chemistry, Grey and Ethan are easy to root for, both as a couple and as two creatives navigating rough patches in their careers.
