It’s possible to have different DPI settings you can switch on the fly. One thing we didn’t like was the occasional lag of software. That aside, it’s a mouse great for gaming. We start things off with the input lag, which happens to be great on the Scimitar Pro and compares well to other top-notch mice out there, including the Logitech G600. Expect your functions to range between zero and two milliseconds with such a low lag. Tried it in CS:GO, I bound it's extra keys to change weapons and to reload, I don't even have to move my fingers off my WASD keys.
NOTE: Any button assigned as G-Shift can't have an alternate assignment. Also, the G-Shift toggle will only be visible if at least one button is assigned as G-Shift. These 2 mice have different buttons, so don't expect to plug-and-play. All of the commands associated with a profile are listed in the commands menu area in LGS (on the left side of the screen). Drag and drop the commands from the commands menu to the G600 buttons and you're ready to go. If you are permanently switching from G700 to G600, remapping existing profiles is fine. If you plan to use both mice interchangeably, then rename the G700 profiles to have G700 in the name, and copy/save-as the G700 profiles to G600 profiles and do the remapping; so, you'll have 2 sets of profiles...one for G700 and one for G600. At the mouse’s underside, you’ll find two large friction pads that help the mouse glide over various surfaces, unlike other mice. Even with a small pad, you can expect this mouse to work well.I measured both mice across the top over the scroll wheel area. The G700 measures 6 centimeters; and the G600 measures 7 cm. Not much difference, considering the G600 adds a third button along the right side.
Tried it with WinAmp, I set up the hotkeys to change songs, stop, and play, works like a charm, don't have to touch my keyboard.
