About this deal

If you are searching for a leaf blower that is lightweight but extremely powerful than DEWALT DCBL720P1 might be the right call for you. This blower uses a brushless motor to ensure efficiency and durability. The axial fan that was included in the design enables an optimal air output. DIYers can make the most of their wet/dry vacuum with this gutter-cleaning kit from Craftsman. This four-piece kit comes with two 18-inch extension wands, a hooked gutter nozzle, and a blower nozzle for concentrating the shop vac’s blower volume. It will fit a wet/dry vac with a 2.5-inch outlet, so it’s compatible with most shop vac extensions to reach a bit higher than the kit alone allows.

Speaking about power, this blower has a brushless motor capable of delivering up to 580 CFM air volume at an air speed of 145 MPH. Some gutter cleaning tools do extend enough to reach gutters on 2 or 3-story houses. This calls for a stable, safe ladder that is tall enough to make accessing the roof easily. Louisville and Little Giant are some of the reputable ladder manufacturers in the market. Ladders from these two brands meet all OSHA and ANSI standards. This telescopic gutter cleaner comes with a 37-litre stainless tank so that you can spend more time cleaning and less time emptying. The tank has a heavy-duty trolley so that you won’t have to experience complications in moving it around. Water pressure from the pole depends on the water pressure of your own hose and you can control it using the variable flow control valve. The blower is powered by a high-efficiency brushless motor which, through its turbine fan, can deliver as much as 480 CFM. Still, this blower isn’t fixed to 480 CFM, and you can change blower speed all the way down to 250 CFM depending on your needs and preferences. This kit from Craftsman was one of my favorite surprises in testing. I hooked it up to a 5.5-horsepower wet/dry vac’s exhaust and found that it was incredibly effective at blowing leaves and debris out of the gutter, especially with the restrictive nozzle that comes in the kit. It was a little clumsy to use, and it might not be suitable for use on a ladder (not with a powerful vacuum, at least), but it was very easy to set up. It also felt like it could serve other purposes, such as vacuuming in vents or other nooks where a standard vacuum won’t reach. When cleaning gutters, caution and proper technique are crucial. One common mistake to avoid is leaning a ladder against gutters. Holes will drip in wet weather and can cause damage to your foundation over time. You can use a sealant to patch the hole, but replacing the gutter might be a better option for large holes. Attachment Length Leaning a ladder against gutters isn’t recommended as it can damage or break them. Gutters are usually made of lightweight materials and are not designed to withstand the ladder’s weight.

The whole point of using a leaf blower is to avoid using ladders and various improvised tools to clean your gutters. Using wires, brooms, and other, more traditional tools is not the best solution. It takes a lot of time, and you’ll constantly be on edge due to the potential of slipping and falling off the ladder.

This curved wand measures 16″ fully extended. Combined with your own height, this is long enough to reach most second-story gutters. Prioritize safety when choosing gutter cleaning tools. Opt for tools that minimize the need for climbing ladders, such as pressure washer attachments with extension wands or gutter cleaning kits designed for ground-level use. Always follow safety guidelines, wear appropriate protective gear, and exercise caution when working at heights. This gutter cleaning tool works by blasting away debris from your clogged gutters. Interestingly, it is not a pressure washer, but instead maximizes your faucet’s water pressure in a flat fan-like spray pattern that acts like a liquid broom. The greater your water pressure (40psi or more), the better the cleaning wand performs. The installation isn’t a hassle. Instead, it is straightforward, and you can complete it in a matter of minutes.

Once you are up there, you can start using your leaf blower much like you would when you are cleaning up leaves and other debris from your yard. Carefully walk around your roof, and make sure to blow every piece of leaf out of the gutter and off the roof. It is easy to assemble and disassemble the 5 sections telescoping extension wand; thereby fitting into any storage space, and saving space for you It allows for a better working angle by placing the ladder away from the wall and distributing the weight evenly. How Tall of a Ladder Should You Use to Clean Gutters? These ladders are not extendable but are self-supporting with one climbable side with hinges for easy folding. That said, platform ladders are bulky and pretty hard to drag around and store. They are also more expensive than other ladder types. The height of your ladder should correspond to the height of your home. Height also determines the capacity of your ladder. Remember, the ladder loses some height as it leans against the house, so make sure you account for that when buying a ladder. More on what constitutes an ideal height later. Easy Maneuverability The only downsides I found were that it doesn’t come with an extension pole and that it doesn’t actually remove the debris; it collects it in one spot, so I had to remove it myself. However, it’s sturdy and ensures that you’re able to reach and gather nearly anything in the gutter, which potentially means less time moving a ladder. I’d suggest an extension pole to go with it, however. You might suppose any ladder can get the job done. After all, all you need is something to climb up and reach the gutters. But choosing the wrong ladder can actually put you at a safety risk, and it’s a common gutter cleaning mistake. Attach the extension to your leaf blower, and walk around the building while holding the tube high enough so that it can reach into the gutter. Since you can’t actually see what’s in there, I’d suggest going over the same area at least two times just to make sure everything has been removed. Also, the Hitachi RB24EAP is fairly loud so try not to use it early in the morning or late at night. Toro has its own gutter cleaning attachment. It comes with 5 extension tubes, and a shoulder strap – something I’m really missing from the other kits out there. It allows you to hold onto the tube with both hands, making the whole process a lot more comfortable. If you don’t have gutter guards to prevent clogs from fallen leaves, cleaning your gutters is a necessary (and messy) job. Leaves and debris that pile up in your gutters can cause water to spill over the brim, creating foundation and drainage issues. Melted snow can also freeze and create ice dams that will cause leaks inside the home. Unlike DIY tube solutions, this kit was designed to ensure maximum airflow, so there is no loss in power for your blower once you attach the extensions. The tubes were designed to push the debris forward instead of downward to make the clean up easier.Look for features like adjustable handles or extension wands that allow you to customize the length and reach of the tool. Ergonomic handles and grips can enhance comfort and ease of use during prolonged cleaning sessions. You can use this machine to conveniently clean up your gutter without using a ladder so that you won’t be exposed to dangers. Also, you can use it as a wet dry vacuum cleaner because it comes with vital vacuum accessories. These accessories include vacuum tubes, dust filter, dust brush, crevice tool and floor tools.
