About this deal

The fun part is spending too much money on Unite Warriors 'Screams so that you can have an all-Starscream combiner. The majority of Wave 2 figures have misprints on their map pieces. Only Airwave does not have some kind of misprint, and the reason for this is unknown. The Quintesson Judge, who was originally part of Wave 2, also includes a misprint, while Megatron does not, indicating that the error is exclusive to said wave. Thankfully, people are working out which parts of the pieces to ignore while completing the map. The original figure eventually became a notorious shelfwarmer, due to him being reissued in the third wave and coincidentally around the time that the Earthrise figure was revealed at NYCC 2019. Push the section with the front treads down towards the rear treads. Each tread has a tab on it that clips into a corresponding slot on Megatron's torso. Swing each leg up out to the sides, then swing them down at the knee joint to make each leg an "L" shape.

This sculpt isn't perfect. The panels on the top of his chest leave a slight gap I'm not crazy about and I do wish there was a way the nosecone could have been hidden away better. Still, I think this figure looks awesome in this mode. His proportions are good and the level of detail is excellent. There are some Transformers that are obscure and only appear now and then in the Transformers toy line. Starscream is is not one of them. He has appeared in almost every Transformers toy line in some way for the past twenty years or so. In terms of Generations versions, here's a rundown of some of the versions that have come out since Classic began: As part of the fourth wave of TakaraTomy's Premium Finish subline, Starscream is a detailed redeco of the Siege mold, featuring a slightly darker gray plastic, and more paint applications that represent his appearance in Transformers: War for Cybertron: Siege and with the same weapons as the aforementioned mold. The new head sculpt is a bit taller and more smooth in detailing than Siege Megatron's. The "helmet" section especially is much more curved and the brow section above the eyes is much less prominent. Of the two head sculpts I prefer this one as it looks more like the G1 animation head design.Accessories: Two assault cannons (combine to form neutron assault rifle), Path Blaster, two-piece laser cannon (combines to form photon burst rifle), tail-fin I do prefer the proportions of the forearms (but ER has better proportions to the shoulders and biceps) and the hips are way better. I don't know why they did that stupid flappy skirt on ER. Robotmasters Skywarp is a redeco of Starscream from the same series, a re-imagining of the original Generation 1 figure, retaining its basic transformation scheme, but designed to be closer to the animation model, with greater articulation and integrated parts that do not require detachment during transformation. The only pieces that now need to be removed are Skywarp's rifles, which move from his wings to his arms. He has three peg-holes on each arm, allowing the rifles to be mounted on his shoulders, on his forearms, or in his fists. These holes are also designed to accommodate the generic spring-loaded missile launcher weapon included with Robotmasters G1 Convoy, Beast Convoy and Beast Megatron. The sword weapon is rather ugly. It would have been cooler if the sword and cannon pieces could have separated into two accessories. Accessories: 5 alternate faces, Gun mode Megatron, 5 effect parts, 2-part stand base, stand arm, stand cradle, pincer, drill, asteroid fragment

Alluding to the Beast Wars episode " Possession", Starscream is partnered with Waspinator, who can transform into a wasp, a robot with 3 mm-compatible hands, and a gun with 5mm handle. He has an autotransformation feature that folds up his wings when his gun barrel is extended. Like all other uses of the mold, Skywarp has a missing molded panel-line detail on the right wing hinge that is supposed to curve in towards the body of the jet. The reason for this missing detail is likely due to it missing from the metal mold itself. For the null rays, sure ER is closer to the G1 model. Since every other part of SS's body is different in Cybertron form, I don't see why the guns can't look a bit different, too. I think the aesthetics of the sculpts work well for their respective toys, and it doesn't influence me one way or the other. Skywarp is a retool of the simultaneously released Alternity Starscream with a different head, transforming into a licensed 1:32 scale Mitsuoka Orochi. Like the other toys in the line, he features die-cast metal parts and rubber tires, as well as an opening hood, trunk and doors. This is also currently the only Alternity mold to feature a fake kibble chest. Earthrise Cyclonus is a new mold which looks like a great update to Generations Cyclonus figure. This is still an early uncolored test shot, but we are sure your optics will be pleased with the mold.

The figure is reported to suffer from heavy quality control issues, most commonly mentioned are the joints and hinges being incredibly weak. As a result, Starscream's wings are difficult to keep in place in robot mode. The elbows, which previously snapped into place when articulated, now slide freely, and the entire hip joint system can be shifted out of alignment. Skywarp was slightly retooled from the earlier Starscream figures. The retool is present in the jet intake area. The slope of his shoulders was decreased from Starscream's, and a fifth rectangle was added to the vertical area. This retooled version was used for all subsequent releases of the mold, and was also used as a running change on Starscream. The Diaclone version of the Starscream mold featured tailfins with solid tips and solid fists, and both these features carried over to the earliest Transformers releases. Soon, however, the Transformers mold was modified to add hollow tips to the fins, and tabs to the insides of the fists to allow them to hold onto his arms tighter, resulting in a visible slit on either side of each one. These altered versions became the standard for all subsequent reissues of the mold. Like all his 1984 brethren, a rubsign was added to Starscream in 1985. Walmart once again reissued the original Skywarp toy (or is it a recolor of Starscream from the same line?) in 2023 under the Transformers Retro label. Unlike the Vintage G1 release, however, Retro Skywarp has been redecoed in colors inspired by his appearance in the original Transformers animated series, more specifically The Transformers: The Movie. He remains a mash-up of Starscream's Commemorative Series and The Transformers Collection reissues, with the former's elongated null rays and cluster bombs and the latter's gun mode Megatron accessory.I get the Will Ferrell " I feel like i'm taking crazy pills" feeling from all the hype Siege Starscream gets. On top of being ugly, it just doesn't even look half done to me, especially in the alt mode.

The second Universe Starscream toy is a redeco of Classics Starscream, with a considerably lighter gray base color, more vibrant red paint, his face painted in dark gray compared to Classics Starscream's flat gray plastic color for the face and a deco more faithful to Starscream's original Generation 1 toy, very similar to the Henkei! Henkei! release. On the Earthrise side, we are sure many fans were expecting the coneheads, and Thrust seems to be a remold of Earthrise Starscream. So far we only have pics in jet mode (and a bit mistransformed). This figure was only released to test markets in Ohio, USA in very limited quantities. It was never available as a wide release. Skywarp was only released in China via Hasbro Asia under the TakaraTomy label; marking the second time an original TakaraTomy Masterpiece toy wasn't released for the Japanese market ( Masterpiece Megatron Gold Version was the first).

Most (if not, all) copies of the figure had the lower right leg's sculpted details being too slightly shallow compared to the left leg's. Earthrise Megatron is a fairly significant reworking of Siege Megatron. At first glance I wouldn't blame you if you thought both figures were the same toy with some different accessories, but several parts are actually different: Wait, you say the Hasbro version is the slavishly 'toon-accurate one? Your credibility is on shaky ground, Wiki. This toyline sees the addition of the "Core Class", a return to the Legends Class from the Prime Wars Trilogy, replacing the Micromasters and Battle Masters of previous lines. Kingdom also features the "Fossilizers", new skeletal characters amongst the Deluxe Class, replacing the Weaponizers and Modulators. As part of the " F.O.S.S.I.L. Technology" (Fossilized Osteo-Skeletal Shield Integration Loadout), they can be taken apart to form armor or weapons compatible with the C.O.M.B.A.T. System. Unlike Siege and Earthrise, the robot mode scale falters due to the larger size of the Beast Wars characters and the smaller size of "Generation 1" characters in the Core Class.
