About this deal

Eternity Now is a bright, sparkling burst of yuzu, litchi, peony, neroli and musk to my nose. It's more fruity and citrusy than floral, however I must admit that this appears to be in its favour. Eternity Now is sure to appeal to those women that live in a humid, warm climate as the scent's longevity keeps you smelling fresh and clean for hours. Calvin Klein Eternity Women EDP is versatile for year-round wear, adapting well to different seasons and occasions. Its romantic and timeless profile makes it suitable for daily use. I can’t believe that I slept on Eternity all this time. I guess that it just became too commonplace after the 80’s for a lot of us 90’s kids. For millennials, it’s safe to say that we all knew someone who wore this. Whether it was your mother, sister, aunt, teacher, neighbor, etc. You absolutely encountered someone somewhere that wore this when it was really popular. And for the people who wore the original formulation at the height of its popularity, this has left some residual impression on your soul and you undoubtedly have so many memories attached to this fragrance. It is that memorable, like the Seinfeld finale episode. I have just started building my collection so when a lot of people kept recommending Eternity as a standout enduring favorite, all I kept thinking about was this emoji: 😬. That is my own fault and bias. I really believed because it’s over thirty years old that it must be old-fashioned, too heavy, overwhelming, yada yada yada. Not the case.

I think I would have enjoyed this more in junior high school, high school, college - than now... although this is truly an ageless and timeless scent - it does lean more towards the juvenile end of things...but this is probably similar to Burberry Body (the original) where someone's energy could determine whether they could continue wearing this later. I can see a few women pulling this off, very well. It would definitely have to fit your personality. These are different, and Calvin Klein Woman EDT has a more forward citrus quality, but there is a similar vibe with orange-blossom although it's not listed in Eternity Now. Roughly equivalent performance. I can appreciate the quality of it though and can see why it's a favourite for lots of you. It'd probably smell lovely on someone else. It just comes down to it not being my style. There is something comforting about it though, and it's strong, I can smell it for ages after spraying my room. I grew up in a small town in the 90’s, and while the rest of the world was swimming in a cloud of clean musks and boisterous florals, my corner of space didn’t have access to any of it. Once in a while, you would come across someone wearing “scent” though - we didn’t call it perfume. Sometimes it would be pretty and soft, but most of the times it would be loud and offensive. These are different, but there is a similar DNA. Eternity Moment has a more obvious tropical quality, while Eternity Now has the clean facet from neroli. Roughly equivalent performance.CLEAN (TROPICAL) & FRESH - Neroli & Peach-Blossom. Opens with a burst of quince sorbet supported by litchi with the granular texture of sorbet. That deepens into the neroli heart with clean facets rounded out by peony & peach-blossom bringing a velvety peachy feel, resting on a floral support base of cashmere-woods, ambroxan & musk. Neroli here is more forward than the notes would suggest, and to my nose this is overall a neroli & peach-blossom scent, which come very close to evoking an orange-blossom. Performance is average or slightly above average for a light summer wearing experience.

Not that that's bad, but I wish someone had mentioned that! I was looking for a Love, Chloe by Chloe - sort of powdery cosmetic scent... and to me, this just isn't it. This is much more demure, very innnocent powder, nothing womanly or sexy in this, to my nose. :/ Edit2: I totally changed my mind about this perfume, I love it now! I wear it a a bedtime scent usually because I find it very comforting: it's an iris/orris and rose 🌹 powder cloud ☁️🤍😍 ! The 'aquatic' facet adds interest, makes the scent airy (so the powder doesn't become too heavy/ cloying, which is great.) Now, this is not Rosey either, I don’t detect musc like I have musc in narciso, nor Katy Perry’s, not jasmine like I find from bvlgari nor Michael kors.. However, in under ten minutes it gets warmer, and a tiny bit spicy too, I wouldn’t say I can smell the ginger, but I can definitely smell the effect of it. It makes what would otherwise be a boring white floral freshie a bit more interesting. There isn’t really enough in to take away that ozonic freshness though. There’s a quote by Joanna Newsom about her own marriage that I feel sums up the concept of this fragrance perfectly: It's a very well blended flowery green, high on the fresia and with a green carnation that never bores. Other white flowers tht bring on a mellow warm comforting amber musk cozy drydown. I do think this could be worn by a man as well, and I’d love to try Eternity For Men as a comparison. Needless to say, this is not the scent you spritz on *just* before your big job interview. (Unless it's at a farm supply store.)
