About this deal

Spuds are always a winner. Toss some small potatoes with olive oil, minced garlic, chopped fresh herbs (e.g. rosemary or thyme), salt, and pepper. Roast them until golden and crispy on the outside. Parsley - Fresh parsley adds a lovely pop of color and herbaceousness. It has a lemony undertone that works perfectly with the sauce. Feel free to swap in the fresh herbs of your choice (e.g. lemon thyme, fresh oregano, etc). Easily Scalable - I developed this recipe for a dinner party, so it serves 6. Feel free to make more or less depending on how many mouths you have to feed. It’s also great as leftovers! At just 1.5-7 syns per chipolata, these smaller sausages tend to be often lower in syns than traditional sausages. Chipolatas get their lower syn values due to their small and thin size which means fewer calories.

It was great for leftovers the next day. Although I have to admit that we ate all the sausages on the first day! The vegetables and potatoes were lovely heated up and I'm sure if we hadn't liked the sausages as much then they would have been fine reheated too!

When the onions are browned, add the garlic to the casserole, let this cook for about 1 minute, then add the tomatoes, tomato purée, rosemary, bay leaf, white wine and white wine vinegar. Now add some seasoning and bring it up to the boil, then let it bubble and reduce (without covering) to about half its original volume, which will take about 20 minutes. Chipolatas have a wide range of syn values according to the type and brand you choose, so as you can compare syns, we've listed some below. Pork Chipolatas As well as giving you a tasty sausage traybake recipe I'd also like to wish you a happyMovember! If you don't know, November is the month when men (well, some men) all over the country give up shaving and grow moustachesto raise awareness of testicular cancer.

All-Purpose Flour - AP Flour acts as the primary coating agent in the dredge. It provides a light, even layer that adheres to the food's surface, helping the Maillard reaction along. Feel free to swap in your favorite gluten-free cup-for-cup all-purpose flour blend, or simply use all cornstarch instead.

Although you can buy already prepared cutlets, it is less expensive to start with whole pieces of breast and cut and pound your own. Plus, it’s a good basic skill to master. All you need is a sharp knife, a bit of agility, and a little elbow grease. The more you practice, the easier it gets. Here’s how to do it: We tried many different foods from new pies to new honey, to plenty of cheese to the best soft and fudgy brownies. Kosher Salt & Pepper - All you need is some basic seasoning here, so the lemon butter parsley sauce can really shine.

Wash and trim the leeks, cut each into three logs, then slice lengthways and add to the tin. Now remove the core and seeds of the peppers and slice them into strips, following their natural curves and ridges, and add these to the tin. Extra-virgin olive oil: Use a medium-intensity Italian olive oil to bring out the flavor of the tomato sauce.

Down below, we've put together an unofficial slimming world syn guide which will take you through why chipolatas tend to be low in syns, some syn values and alternatives. Why Are Chipolatas Low In Syns? Salt - Salt is the superstar of the brining process. First and foremost, it helps to season the meat. Salt also acts as a natural tenderizer. It works its magic by breaking down the proteins in the food, which helps to relax muscle fibers and make the meat more tender. This process allows the meat to retain moisture and become juicier during cooking. Feel free to use any type of salt you like — I almost always reach for Morton’s Kosher Salt.
