About this deal

Currently, while we know the prices for most of the boxes, we’ll also have all of the new boxes listed, value-wise, for you below! One more thing to note, these are all valued with the updated 2023 GW pricing. The Tyranids aren’t terribly bothered by the exact state of galactic geopolitics at present – they just like a ready supply of tasty biomass, and a space hulk to ride around in. Their Boarding Patrol contains six adaptable Tyranid Warriors to split into squads of three, eight fast-moving Genestealers , and a fearsome Broodlord to direct them all. Here are all the updated Warhammer 40k Boarding Patrol box sets value and pricing in our start collecting 40k savings breakdown with the latest price increases.

As we said, this has a bit of a random assortment of models, but the value is definitely there! This actually rivals some of the better boxes from Christmas, so if you need all the models inside, this is totally worth grabbing, as you basically get two boxes of Possessed for free! It also contains the new Daemon Prince, which is quite pricey to grab on its own, so that’s very nice.Chaos Space Marines are right at home on the claustrophobic corridors of a space hulk, and we’re not even convinced the Thousand Sons register much of the weirdness going on given the forces they tamper with. This Boarding Patrol pairs two Chaos Spawn with 20 Rubric Marines, bringing an impressive number of bodies and a pair of pskyers onto the board while the Spawn make a right mess of anything they encounter.

The various factions of the 41st Millennium are now forced to undertake Boarding Actions against these twisted space hulks, with small, elite forces clashing in their claustrophobic confines. This box can be used to assemble a variety of units – the recommended build for Boarding Action games is Abaddon the Despoiler, five Legionaries, and two Cultist Mobs of ten models each. The Lieutenant is one of the most versatile character kits to date, with a choice of cosmetic parts and plenty of wargear. He can tote a plasma pistol, heavy bolt pistol, or a bolt rifle with one of three configurations, all while swinging a power fist or a power sword… or just pointing very emphatically.Abaddon is truly a nightmare on the board – with the Terminator keyword, he can go into reserve and deep strike wherever on the board in the next turn, so you have the option to place him next to a strategic point at a later point in the game. If there is an unclaimed objective too far for the opposing player to reach, Abaddon can be there in a hot minute. To maximise him properly, you may have to forego deep striking and keep him with the lads Legionaries to buff them up with hit re-rolls and wound re-rolls, buffs to charge rolls and a myriad of other abilities that justify his expense. He’s also been given the Agents of Chaos keyword, meaning he can be dropped into a Death Guard, Thousands Sons or World Eaters army (though that may come at an expense of some abilities in those respective armies, be warned). And to top it off, he cannot lose more than 3 wounds in a given turn, and his statline is eye-watering. Taller de juegos have really despoiled us with this one. Genestealers have a long and storied history infesting space hulks, and their legacy continues in Boarding Patrol: Tyranids. A powerful Broodlord leads a cadre of eight Genestealers – dominating close combat specialists in their own right – and six Tyranid Warriors with a variety of organic weapons for range and melee. You can see this Boarding Patrol in action in the latest Battle Report on Warhammer+. It’s just a pity that 20 of them are Cultists, cultists are fine and all, but they are just so samey. the painter in me is not excited for them. Abaddon and some Chaos Marines with an upgrade sprue though! Hellz yeah!

A heady mix of daemonic power and debased Astartes ceramite, this Battleforce is the ideal way to throw in your lot with the Warmaster and start scouring the galaxy for the keys to victory. It’s just a little interesting to see who will buy these because players will need to grab the Arks of Omen book as well to use them in that game. Plus, if you already play Space Marines, these are probably units you already have. Next, let’s examine the individual values of the miniatures. Again, if you’re looking to build a Khorne horde army, this is a valuable saving. You won’t need (or want hopefully) Slaanesh to whisper these sweet nothings into your ears.

Is The Chaos Boarding Patrol Box Worth it?

The Boarding Patrol: Chaos Space Marines set offers a formidable force of Heretic Astartes infantry, specially crafted to wreak havoc upon foes in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
