About this deal

But there is that foreseen unexpected thread—the unpredictable, unknown, and unwritten. The only thing more powerful than the Fates… Buy The Book: the ending was so tame?? since this wasn’t the last book in the series, i expected another cliffhanger, but the ending was good and cute. JLA could’ve fleshed out this ending a little bit more and i would have accepted it as the series final. everyone was so happy, the villain was momentarily defeated .. why do we even need a fourth book? Despite Ash and Sera's separation for a good portion of this book (62% to be exact) we see them dreamwalk and interact as if they believe this is their own dream manifesting each other but WE the readers know right away this is dreamwalking and this proves another obvious theory that they are heartmates. And I will. I will ruin the realms if I lose you. If you die, there is no hope for them—any of them…innocent or evil, god or mortal. I will destroy them all.”

Step into the blazing world of " A Fire in the Flesh", the third captivating installment in the " Flesh and Fire" series by the renowned author Jennifer L. Armentrout. Boasting a substantial duration of 24 hours and 3 minutes, the entrancing voice of Stina Nielsen will guide you through a tale imbued with passion, danger, and mystique. Kolis believes that Sera is Sotoria, his long-lost love that was for all account one sided. We see an entirely new side of Kolis we KNEW existed because despite his madness, you feel bad for him in certain moments. He truly loved her, but he was also madly obsessed with her, and this blurred the lines. I truly think he just lost his damn mind a long time ago and maybe once upon a time he was good? I also see a lot of similarities with Malec in regard to how he has been described. I think there is a obvious balance between twins.... there has to be good and bad to balance it all: For if they rose, they did so as blood and bone, the ruin and the wrath of that once great beginning.

Keep in Touch!

To liberate Nyktos and avert this cosmic disaster, Sera must negotiate with Kolis, a being of immense complexity and capriciousness. The challenge is staggering, even for someone like Sera who has undergone a lifetime of rigorous training. Kolis’s most loyal Revenant adds to the complexity by vehemently asserting that Sera is nothing but a fabricated illusion. Kolis himself, with his erratic disposition and convoluted sense of honor, leaves Sera emotionally disoriented and mentally scattered. Worse yet, the malevolent atmosphere of his Court amplifies her discomfort, offering a crucible of cruelty unlike anything she has ever experienced. Firstly, Stina Nielsen always does such an amazing job and I always love listening to her narration and is probably the reason I am giving this a generously 3 stars but I was SO disappointed with this book. I enjoyed the 1st & 2nd book & love the FBBA series but this one definitely fell flat for me. I was so confused with all the chaotic mess for the first 9/10 chapters and was so bored with everything until Sera was finally reunited with Ash. It immediately got better once they were together again BUT *spoiler alert* you’re going to have to wait until a good half way until they are reunited. But there is that foreseen unexpected thread—the unpredictable, unknown, and unwritten. The only thing more powerful than the Fates…

Persuading Kolis is a daunting challenge. Despite his favored Revenant's insistence that she's merely a deception, Kolis's unpredictable demeanor and skewed sense of honor unsettle her profoundly. The malevolence of his Court and the startling truths unveiled catch her off guard. These revelations not only challenge her understanding of her mission and the realms' origin but also cast doubts on the real menace. Yet, navigating Kolis's treachery is just one aspect of the struggle. The Ascension looms, and time is running out for Sera. From #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout comes book three in her Flesh and Fire series… just 𝗪𝗢𝗪 this did not disappoint, the ending was so beautiful i had tears of joy in my eyes, i don't know how am i supposed to wait till may for the next book tho I'm already going out of my mind with need to know what happens next😭 One of” the reasons we read JLA books it’s the smut, and again, inconsistency is the word here. The smut is absent for most of the book, and when we finally get there, kindle tells me it was 1 hour of it!! I’m a fast reader so for a lot o you it might end up being 2 to 3 hours of only Smut. It was hot, maybe a bit cringe because it was so much of it, but in these chapters we do get what we wanted. Theories about it being Eythos grew but surprise and honestly should have been obvious to all of us after Attes was revealed to being Cas's ancestor that Attes was the silker HAWKE. Yeah - let that obviousness sink in because I felt stupid.

Check-In

We already had an idea that Sera would be spending too much time with Kolis and his fanatics, so I was prepared for their separation but what I was not prepared for was the desperation of her. Her main concern throughout her captivity was how Ash was doing, if he was safe, if he was being harmed, how she could save him. Making bargains with Kolis for his safety and we know damn well if Ash knew about it then he would never allow it. i’m a huge JLA fan and will always be, but i don’t like how she keeps recycling scenes in this series. FBAA & FAF already have so many similarities, same with poppycas and seranyktos, but then she goes and rewrites very similar scenes again why? Nyktos ripping someone’s spine out in this book was so Casteel coded. when Cas did it, i thought it was hot, but when Nyktos did it i just felt meh about it, because it didn’t really feel original. Attes and Kyn: Kyn was just the worst, we finally got to know him through his actions - he has r*ped Veses before and was instructed to do it again which he obliged without a heartbeat, and he is just gross). We also find out that when he ascended Attest retained his memories, but Kyn lost them all and from what we have gathered Attes has mentioned that his brother was once good but is now lost. We also know that throughout his interactions and mentions of Eythos he is jealous and believed he was hated but in reality even until his death Eythos LOVED his brother. We also get the answer about Mycella and how she once felt something for Kolis, but her true love was Eythos, and that love was eternal, but she never wanted Kolis. Again, his mind created that idea because he is unhinged. Sera is also assaulted by him; he drinks from her and gets off on it and also physically assaults her in a few occasions because he cannot control his anger.
