About this deal

They all managed to hold attention of the audience due to their frequent costume changes and the cleaver projections that portrayed Ireland as an Idyllic place filled with Unicorns and rainbows. Flatley’s productions have sold out in theatres around the world for years, and he insists this is due to such positive word of mouth. With all the visceral precision and thrills of the original, Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games features new staging, new costumes and mesmerising new choreography.

If you’re a fan of this type of dancing and the Irish music and culture this show is without a doubt the show for you to attend next. First came “ Riverdance,” followed by the original “Lord of the Dance,” productions that conquered the world and sold out stadiums. Due to popular demand, following a sold-out run at the London Palladium, Michael Flatley’s Lord Of The Dance: Dangerous Games, will transfer to the Dominion Theatre next year, running for six months from 9 March 2015. The spectacular new staging of the traditional masterpiece will have an exclusive and limited run, featuring Michael Flatley in his final West End performances. The tour is one of the biggest the UK has ever had and has currently been seen by 60 million people in 60 different countries on every continent. Michael Flatley, who has recently retired from UK performances, is excited to hand over the reins to such talented performers. The perfectly balanced ensemble of male and female dancers help to give depth to the story and in the dance sequences when they are all in a line and coordinated it really is something to admire. Synopsis: Live performance of the Irish dance and musical production created, choreographed and starring Michael Flatley. He took a genre of ethnic-pride competitions and small spaces (Irish dance lore is full of stories of dancing on doors taken down off their hinges or even on plates), and he blew it up and gave it mass appeal.

It’s the kind of show that you watch with your mouth open, and then later think back on it and wonder if you really just saw what you think you saw. Flatley said, “I’m delighted that London has once again welcomed us so warmly, and to be able to extend the show’s run by moving to the very beautiful Playhouse Theatre makes me feel immensely proud of what we’ve achieved. The plot follows a little Spirit with a magic flute who battles against evil to save Ireland from being taken over by evil cyborgs. Along the way the Spirit meets different dancers as well as a Black Swan like love triangle that threatens to turn the head of Ireland’s saviour, the Lord of the Dance himself. Such a Shame that the talent and stammer required to be a professional Irish Dancer was totally Lost in this Miss Mash of a nonsensical Show.
