About this deal

I have even talked the head into a little revamp of the library so that we can display them properly! I haven't charted out my visits for the summer term, but I'm sure there are several in the south) and thanks so much for being so fantastic! Part biography of an apartment block’s inhabitants, part children’s recipe book, each highly evocative illustration depicts a different resident or family in their kitchen preparing a dish . This is such a lovely children’s book … with beautifully drawn recipes from green rice to salmorejo. Written and magnificently illustrated by Felicita Sala, this glorious celebration of community is filled with recipes from all over the world and simple instructions perfect for young chefs.

It’s a fantastic independent book seller that will actually be responsive and select appropriate books for you.A glorious celebration of community, filled with recipes from all over the world and simple instructions perfect for young chefs, a visual feast to share and delight in. A warm, beautifully illustrated celebration of community and culture, including simple recipes from around the world. What a delectable treat of a picture book … this would be a wonderful book to share with a class as part of a project on food, or diversity and culture. This is a delightful book full of a range of recipes from diverse cultures and cuisines - it has beautiful illustrations and is perfect for adults and children to share together - and inspire some tasty meals! One of her books was included in The New York Times’ Best Illustrated Picture Books of 2018, and in 2020 she won the Premio Andersen award in Italy for best illustrator.

The world’s cuisines are brought together with some well-considered pencil strokes – a book for adults to drool over, as well as children. Bronnie is so lovely with the boys and we also felt that having a man enthusing about the books set a great example.

It seems such an obvious creation, yet there is so much to discover, learn from and create from ‘ Lunch at 10 Pomegranate Street’. You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot!
