In my view, doors need to be tall enough for a minifig to pass through; this isn't always the case with a 5-high door, when steps/tiles/big hair are taken into consideration.

Some sort of solid door with panels would work because it's odd to have doors in the inside of houses that are glass or have windows.

It was great to see "proper" Lego such as the kind I had growing up where you have to totally use your imagination to build things. However i tend to find that many of the specific model sets have lots of very model specific peices, so i decided to augment our collection with some bricks, wheels, roofs and doors.
