The story was so intriguing but after the famous "gun scene" my morals were like the hell and make me shut the book but after a day or two curiosity make me pick it up again and I don't know how but I read the whole book on two days and fell in love with both the characters. He just has an ego where he decides she will do what he wants because he's powerful enough to get it and so it shall be. I'll preface my review by saying that I may be just a touch biased because I've been looking for this exact book (not literally, but figuratively), for MONTHS, and I cannot understand some of the reviews I've read.The chemistry and intensity of the romance is off the charts and so toxic but so good that it hurts.

You are forewarned that there is plenty of strong language, graphic sex scenes and some dub/con moments too.Another aspect that I think made it better in Harley Laroux's was that there was explicit consent given beforehand, and a safe-word if necessary.

every minute i was reading about Zade and Adeline doing exactly what they did in this book, i felt like i passed away. He leans in close, his lips skating across mine as he watches me slowly come apart at the seams, all the while grinning at me. The performance of the voices actors are so dramatic and forced, combine with the terrible writing style and the ridiculous plot, I just kept rolling my eyes. I found her little journal entries to be riveting and the fact that Adaline had more going on than just her stalker made the character feel more rounded.The cringe-worthy lines I've been hearing have actually caused me to literally roll my eyes and stop listening to books because they were just that stupid and even uncomfortable.

The sense of danger that permeates their relationship is heightened by the forbidden passion charged into Adeline's intimate moments with her stalker.
