Since many readers have come to form strong associations with the Rider-Waite deck, the Crystal Visions Tarot remains true to this classic 78-card system in much of its symbolism, as well as in card and suit names and numbering.

Here I am looking for a sign about which deck is for me…due to an array of decks I’ve worked with and had worked with. I noticed that there is an additional card, ‘The Unknown Card’ which represents an answer that is not yet revealed. For example, the crow looking down at the bloody figure with ten swords stuck in her back seems to be thinking “stop being such a ninny! They are really good quality and they have not shown any signs of wear after using quite a few times. Each card has a colored rectangle at the bottom with the name of the card, and the background color changes depending on the suit of the card, which is great for the reader.It definitely can tell the tale of a difficult and challenging story in your life, but at the same time, it's like having a friend by your side who will offer comfort, support, and guidance to get through whatever you're going through. It follows your typical Rider Waite Smith style system and includes an additional card, making a total of 79 cards.

Crystal Visions Tarot is a very fantasy-based tarot deck, lots of purples, pinks, blues, reds and orange scattered throughout, this gives it a very mythical and ethereal look. From an imagery perspective, the deck has some similarities to standard RWS symbols, but it is far from a clone. Snow covers the ground and black crows fly and land here and there, giving the suit an ominous feel. While this deck follows the typical RWS structure, I find that it does have varying symbols and added themes which makes it a bit more fun and unique to read, but could be confusing for someone just getting started.

Jennifer attributes much of her initial interest in the spiritual realm to Stevie’s haunting voice, ethereal nature, and poetic lyrics. Based on the standard Rider Waite Smith system, this deck stays almost true to the tradition -- there is an additional card in the deck, giving you 79 cards rather than 78.
