I felt torn that she seemed to be over generalizing anxiety in the introduction, so it sounded like typical anxiety everyone experiences, therefore minimizing the diagnosed illness, Anxiety. For several years I have struggled with depression, however for the last year or two I have started to struggle with severe anxiety. The best thing about the book is that it tells children that emotions are valid and should be explored. And I honestly believe that all that work has served me so well coming into 2020 and being able to deal with the pandemic.
