About this deal

There's also no customizing the K60 Low Profile – the board itself is only available in a black, brushed aluminum frame and you'll only be able to get the Cherry MX Low Profile RGB Speed switches.

From the simple K55 and aging K95 to the ultra-premium K100, the company is bound to have a board that fits your needs.Sadly, there’s no onboard memory for storing customized profiles or macros (RGB presets hog the only onboard memory). All keys are macro-programmable through the iCUE software, and there's a Windows Lock key to prevent accidentally minimizing your game. The Corsair is more comfortable to type on due to its low profile, has onboard memory, and doesn't cause as much typing noise.

It’s a thicker rubber one with some enforcement where it attaches to the keyboard, making it harder, but not impossible, to bend. The lack of travel distance made it feel like I wasn’t getting much physical feedback, and my input felt squishy when bottoming out. But the tradeoff is often much noisier typing, as well as a larger build thanks to features like media buttons and huge palm rests. Cherry Viola switches use fewer (four instead of eight) and cheaper parts than MX ones and are solder-free and instead frame-mounted. But it lacks additional features, and its budget Cherry Viola switches visibly distract from the design.Enables dynamic RGB lighting control, key remaps and custom macro programming, and full-system lighting synchronization across all iCUE-compatible CORSAIR devices. Illuminate your desktop with near-limitless colors and effects, enhanced by amplified underglow keycaps with a standard bottom row. These keycaps also have a slight downward curve toward the top that works with the concave shape to give my fingers a comfortable place to rest.

I think that what makes it difficult to type on it is that it has "Speed" switches — which have lower actuation distance. We tested the Corsair K60 RGB PRO Low Profile keyboard, which uses Cherry MX Low Profile Speed Switches. We've also added new objective evaluations to the Typing Noise test, and we've simplified several tests and removed several others that were no longer relevant. It offered every feature you could want in a gaming keyboard, from macro switches and a dial to Steam Deck integration. The software gives you dozens of options to quickly customize your lights, or you can spend hours in the software optimizing every aspect of the K60 Low Profile. They’re made from ABS plastic that’s smooth and prone to smudges, but I’m willing to forgive that, thanks to the concave shape. Previously, she covered business technology, including hardware, software, cyber security, cloud and other IT happenings, at Channelnomics, with bylines at CRN UK. There's a little flex to the keyboard if you press down with some degree of force though it won't flex without considerable effort.
