About this deal
Control your RV air conditioner, gas, or electric heat strips and fans from one convenient location. The thin, stylish appearance is designed to compliment any interior, making it an ideal choice for today contemporary RVer. The problem ended up being a connection that had come loose on a wago style connector behind the electrical control board, I finally found out where all the wiring went ! A/C -> blue wire to t-stat - this is labeled as 12 VDC(-), and then the diagram shows that there should be a 12VDC(-) connection to the t-stat. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.
I saw one thread where someone actually installed the exact same thermostat from an analog t-stat that already had A/C control. granted, probably not the same 2 you're asking about, but maybe some of the "wiring" info might be helpful. I removed my Coleman thermostats and replaced them with Honeywell thermostats that I could expose to and control by my home automation system. These additional features bring your campers climate control closer to what you find in a residential home. I am in the process of installing one of the Airxel Circuit Boards that will allow me to connect my A/C to be thermostat controlled.
In that example, it appears as if the blue wire going to the original t-stat is simply left disconnected.
It wasn't too hard to install - just follow the instructions and look at the spec sheet online for the Honeywell.
The yellow wire that originated from the stat was spliced onto a larger stranded white conductor that disappeared into the ducting and there is a black wire of the same gauge where the yellow signal wire shows it should land. The EasyTouch 356 model thermostats were designed to directly replace certain 12-volt Coleman™, Airxcel™, RVComfort™, TrueAir™, and ComfortGuard™ single zone, single/dual-stage compressor, single/dual-stage heater systems.
